>>
Call me when he's successful on a team that doesn't carry him. Then he can be considered the GOAT
>>
>>64252927
you can lump literally every QB into this category because football's a team sport
>>
>>64252970
My point is I believe Brady is only good because the pats WR core is amazing. I'm willing to bet if he went anywhere else he would suck literal shit. Because he wouldn't have receivers to bail him out
>>
>>64233350
Sure he will, Super Bowl MVP
>>
>>64252927
Sorry my post is 9 years late, but Brady carried a bunch of scrubs to the AFCCG in 2006.
>>
>>64252970
Dan Marino, Drew Brees. No help
>>
>>64253629
You are incredibly biased if you think the Pats wide receiver corps is amazing. They have Gronk (who may be the best weapon in the NFL) but everyone else is mediocre at best.
>>
>>64253721
This. Edelman isn't even in the top 30 of receivers in the league, Lafell and Amendola probably not in the top 100
>>
>>64253721
It's not bias in favor of the pats if I hate them. And fine, the pats WRs aren't the best. But I'm just saying that I won't consider brady GOAT because he has only had success with one team. Hell I'm closer to calling Peyton the GOAT because he at least found moderate success at more than one team.
>>
>>64254092
Why should Brady staying at one team put a negative connotation on his accomplishments? Most athletes these days hit free agency and chase whatever gigantic pay day they can get. Brady had actually lowered his cap hit to make the Pats team better, truly something the GOAT would do.
>>
>>64254186
Why would I accept him as the GOAT when he doesn't even have the best individual stats out of all QBs?

Brady VS Montana.png

>>64254206
Arguable. Brady has better stats than Montana, with slightly more accolades. And we all know Peyton is a playoff choker, so he's disqualified. But even looking at Brady and Manning's stats, Peyton's only look better because he's played 3 more years than Tom.

Manning in 265 starts:

71,871 yards
539 TDs
251 INTs

Brady in 220 starts:

57,396 yards
425 TDs
149 INTs

Brady's projected numbers after 265 starts:

265/220=1.2045

57396 X 1.2045 = 69,136 yards
425 X 1.2045 = 512 TDs
149 X 1.2045 = 179 INTs

>Manning would have a 4% advantage in yards
>Manning would have a 5% advantage in TDs
>Brady would have a 29% advantage in INTs

The lack of interceptions is what makes Brady better statistically. Brady also has a good to great chance of breaking the career TD and Yardage records if he plays 4 more years, Peyton is probably going to retire after this year.

otto graham is objective goat

7 championships and led the league in passing tds 3 times, led the league in passing yards 5 times, led the league in completion % 4 times, , led the league in YPA 3 times, led the league in passer rating 4 times

Stats and rings, OBJECTIVE GOAT

if this isn't his last year next year is.
>>
>>64255511
Yeah but Otto Graham is a meme name
>>
>>64255524
He's literally putting up the best numbers in the league and is too autistic to care about anything besides football. Hes not going anywhere yet
>>
>>64254552
Montana did that in a league that didn't coddle the fuck out of QBs and offenses in general however. He needs a 1.5 multiplier to make this comparison make any sense.
>>
>>64255524
he can probably play into 41-42 ish, even longer if he spends some as a back up
>>
>>64255524
Having one of the best years of his career, and looks more mobile in the pocket than he has ever been.
>>
>>64255566
>>64255559
>>64255539
favre and manning were both putting up some of the best numbers of their career at this age and they dropped off so quick ppl didn't know what to think

but fine ill let you pats fans have your moment and ill tell you brady will play till he's 50 and the pats will win atleast 3 more owls
>>
>>64255524
>implying 4 years is a stretch.
If you're comparing Brady to Manning there's a big difference. Peyton never took care of his body and let it deteriorate meanwhile Brady's a health nut. 4 years definitely could happen. I could see Brady playing until 42. That's a year older than Favre when he retired.
>>
>>64255476
Can't compare before the salary cap in 94, when the 49ers had Jerry Rice and 5 other Hall of Fame players
>>
>>64255602
that's fine, as long as you acknowledge it's not an equal comparison and it's retarded to compare them
>>
>>64255594
Brady doesn't get beat up like those two. His average time to throw is ridiculously low and he's a huge health freak. He literally doesn't drink alcohol for like 8 months out of the year. Not a single beer or glass of celebratory wine
>>
>>64255594
Mannings drop off is entirely injury related. And Brady is a health nut. Goes to bed at 9pm, wakes up at 6am, and his diet is almost robotic. Its not crazy to suggest Brady can play at a starting QB level for another 3 or 4 given the way he looks now, barring injury of course.
>>
>>64255594
manning has had multiple surgeries, injuries are more derailing to a career than age in itself

Favre probably could of still played if he really wanted too, his arm was still plenty strong enough.
>>
>>64255623
>>64255625
you guys are right brady is special and he won't age

im sorry for even considering the thought
>>
>>64255594
>implying Manning wasn't banged up from multiple injuries and literally fucking up his neck.
Brady's only injury was a torn ACL seven years ago and a few broken ribs that healed over time
>>
>>64255641
Were not meme-spouting 10 MORE YEARS here, Favre was 41 when he retired, and his arm was still great, Manning will be 40. The fact that Brady doesn't have nagging injuries, coupled with the fact that he's not a turnover machine, again, not crazy to think he'll play for 4 more years.
>>
>>64255641
>w-wah don't disagree with me
>muh triggers
>>
>>64255641
the truth is no one really knows for sure how much longer Brady can keep playing

Vinny Testaverde was a meh qb but played until he was 44

It's really just a matter of luck of avoiding enough injuries so your body holds up

maybe brady plays 2 years, maybe 5, no one really fucking knows.

people thought a-rod was done but at age 40 and multiple hip surgeries he just hit 33 home runs.

You really just dont fucking know

They should at least give it to Palmer if not Brady, Newton is a meme QB.
>>
>>64255748
This. Give it to Palmer, Cam's not controlling the #1 offense in the NFL this season. They're not even in the top 5. You're literally giving a QB an award not for individual talent but from his team's accomplishments.
