yes
it's a sport, but not the most interesting one. it scores really high on technical skill, low to medium in tactics (not a team sport/not against a direct opponent) and low to medium in physical skill. A better sport is football which scores high on all three parameters.

There's no physical activity involved so no. Golf is a physical competition so it is a sport. Just not a very difficult one
