>he doesn't support the team his dad supported

>Supporting Chelsea when I live more than 250+ miles from Stamford Bridge
Yeah, no

>>64111797
>dad never had interest in sports
Okay.
>>64111797
>supporting a team
>supporting capitalist corporations
no, thank you
my dad thinks all sports are stupid and makes fun of people who like them. Doesn't drink either.
It pains me that I will never have a drink with my dad and watch football or hockey together.
>>64111797
What if your dad was bandwagon scum?
>>64111797
My wife's son doesn't know what club he should support since he never knew his dad. What do I do, lads
I don't know what team my dad supports
>>64112688
Have him support the clubs you do
well that because doesn't care about sports and thinks the nfl is fixed. i always tell him he's just being dumb.
anyone watching mosconi cup?
>>64112452
my dad is a bandwagon fuck who "appreciates excellence" and says he cares more about seeing stars than teams win
>>64111797
>He glory supports the team his dad glory supported when they used to be good
>he doesn't support his local team
disgusting filth.
anyone who doesn't support the team that they live/were brought up nearest to, is a gloryhunting, plastic cunt.
"my dad supported them" is literally the worst excuse. just admit that you're a gloryhunting, pathetic cunt that supported a team only because they were good and win a lot because you have horrific self-esteem and think that supporting a good team is somehow a reflection of yourself. ya fucking cunt ye. hope ye die in a fire
His accordion club? I guess I could support them. But it will be awkward.
>>64111797
>he still has his dad
didnt come here to feel you jackass
>>64112804

>tfw live in Lancaster but support Morecambe as Lancaster City are closer but across the river
Rivers are like boundary lines. Also it's the border between constituencies but basing your team based on local government is a bit weird.
>>64111797
>dad is a bandwagoner
what now?
>>64113020
that's acceptable
>Dad loves Notre Dame
>Went to a MAC school
>no family went to Notre Dame
>probably likes them because of Rudy
I still can't help but pull for them.
>>64112543
>>64113160
If you're Catholic it's alright
>>64111797
Ever since he died, I took on his teams as secondary bro-tier interests
Mets and Cowboys, whee.
>dad never watched sports
>>64113030
No one ever has an answer. Just shows homerism, dadism, bandwagonism is all equally cancer and bad.
Fuck off, plebs.
>people who support teams that are further than walking distance
My dad is a now atheist ashkenazi with an American Jew for a dad, and an Irish Jew for a mom, who became apparently obsessed with Ireland because he hated Judaism so much, he married my mom who is an Irish Catholic (eventually divorced but that's irrelevant), and then bandwagoned Celtic FC
I mean I'm more Irish than he is, but it still feels kind of weird following Celtic/the Ireland national team because of him
He also hates America so we never followed team USA or the local MLS team for some reason (we do now, mostly because of me because I'm not gonna not watch the team that is fucking 1 hour away)
Meh.
>>64111797
So only niggers can choose their team ? unfair.
>>64113302
Oh and he went to school in Philadelphia but fuck that lol

>he is his father's person, not his own
Gee this has been real fucking awesome. Thanks a lot dad. It's like you decided to have kids here and ruin their lives with shitty teams.

it's fine to not support the team your dad did. but it's sacrilege to root for the rival of his team.
I do which is all the Boston teams plus B.C.

My dad was from Boston.
I was born in the great city of Philadelphia.
What reason would I ever have for supporting those English butchering fucks?

Sorry man
My dad left our Family in Arizona when I was two. I have no respect for the guy.
Plus he's a 49ers fan so that's pretty much unforgivable.

my dad literally roots for the patriots, bears, and rams.
He lived in los angeles almost his whole life
>>64115776
did he root for the patriots ever since he was young
because there's no shame in bandwagoning the pre-2000's Patriots
>>64115799
very post-2000.
He generally roots for all Chicago and LA teams, but the pats get special treatment since Bill started coaching
>>64113415

>>64111797

>>64112521
[feel intensifies]
My dad is a bandwagoner and doesn't support any teams even close to here.
>>64111797
What if you're Dad moved away from his original home but still roots for them? Do you root for them or the local teams?
But the Chorgers fucking suck.
My dad doesn't watch the sports I watch so I had to pick my own
My dad watched the Packers every Sunday. Fall was the only time we got out of Church in my house so we could watch the Packers (I lived on the West Coast so Pacific Timezone meant early Packer games)
Even in California my Wisconsin-born father made sure I would be a Packers fan. And now I live in Wisconsin so I'm anything but a bandwagoner
Dad's a steelers' fan
I support the Ravens
Dad supports the Steelers
I'm a Ravens fan
>>64115620
kek
>Mom and Dad both follow sports

Welp, at least none of them have won shit in my lifetime, so it's not a big deal. And I have college sports to like.
>>64117854
>>64117899
Posting twice won't validate your shit opinions.
>That guy who is a fan of four teams from four different cities
>He's not from nor has he lived in any of them

What's good neighbor
I've on the other hand lived in the suburbs of chicago my whole life. I went to school in Illinois, and got a job right in down town Chicago. All my life even in the burbs my friends would follow the same sports teams: all Chicago everything.
The kicker was that all of our parent s were immigrants. Most of them were too Asian to understand sports. My dad loved the bulls and Jordan (he had a bulls game on while I was being born) so I naturally followed in suit.
Gg on Thanksgiving btw
My dad supported Millwall as a lad in the 60s and 70s, was his local team but he never got me into football, never even talked about it, he guided me to playing rugby instead as a kid, I guess he didn't want me to follow him in his path of being a complete skallywag before he joined the Army and when he was growing up Football was purely about the violence.
I started supporting Arsenal when I was about 15 or so when I finally gave watching league football a chance, before it was just watching the world cup and euros. I kind of got my family on board too, me and my dad go to games together now and then which is nice.
>>64112769
I like the way your dad thinks, I care about seeing Stars too
