Baseball will survive where other sports come and go. Basketball is only super popular right now because black culture is at its height. Even with that, baseball is still very popular. Hockey is never going to pass baseball because people can't see the puck.

Baseball is the most comfy sport. On a beautiful day nothing is better.
NFL you're stuck in awful cold and can't see shit if they're on the other side of the field.
NBA and NHL you're indoors so there is no appeal in the facilities.
Places like Fenway Park are registered landmarks. You won't get that for the LA Forum or Boston Garden.
Baseball has no clock, and you have to beat your opponent. No running out the clock or delaying.
No penalties other than rare interference calls.
It's the sport where if you suck too much to throw or hit a ball, you'll play sports with less talent than simply running around carrying a ball or hitting it with your foot.

I think running past a line of 500lb niggers or attempting a dash at goal while keeping the ball close to your feet is way harder than hitting a ball with a stick or catching it in the air.
especially soccer. people seem to think you can just run fast with the ball and it'll follow you but you have to measure literally every step you take precisely to keep the ball close to you or to not run in the path of a defender.
