People expect too much of young players. I think most of the hyped ones don't have the potential. I have seen too many next Superstars failing without doing anything wrong.
There are always fans that want their teams to field 6 players from their academy. Unless you are lucky to have an once in a 100 years generation like Barcelona had with Xavi and co. you won't be able to do that and stay competitive. Even in the Brazilian League.
Corinthians just won the Brazilian Championship. They have arguably the best academy in the country. Do you know how many players in the starting 11 were from their academy? One.
So, it is funny to see supporters of Real Madrid, Chelsea and so on expecting to field 4 youngsters in their starting lineups and win in some of the best leagues in the world.
