hey lads, I'm back
was away up north for some wedding, ps i'm rich now

watched match of the day though, saw the highlights did we really play that fucking badly? Couldn't believe we gave them that many chances, at least Ozil got an assist
>>
>>64011616
I wouldn't like to be called plastic if I cared more about shitty labels. Anyway, I am not shouting "Wonga out!" partially because what he's done do far is pretty fucking incredible (especially under such a tight budget) and partially because I simply can't see any other manager taking over (maybe eventually Kloppo in 2-3 years if he wasn't already in L'pool).
However, the budget shouldn't be as tight as it was 5 years ago or whatever. Also, "complacent" is when you stop trying to achieve the highest goals and settle for a comfy top4 and 1/16CL, year after year after year. Debts are paid, the stadium built, it's time to re-negotiate sponsoring deals and aim bigger.
If you associate the success with Wenger, you also have to associate the failures with him. Isn't it him who runs the team? The short fucking bench isn't a sudden problem, that only arose this season. It lasts for some time now. The manager should see this, should act against it. The board is complacent with how the things are, the team seems to be too (since the players who were not left), but not everyone has to be.
I'm not saying >we have to sign Messi, but a few players for key positions is a must, or, by the end of the season, Arsenal is going to play without middle and with defenders in attack.

Also also, you can't possibly be OK with Arsenal being in the top only because the other teams are losing as well. To win the league a team has to be winning games, not losing points against some shitters and hoping others will lose more.

>>64011963
I believed in Oezil since day 0.

>>64013084
>Arsenal want growth
Arsenal _NEEDS_ growth.
Other than that, I completely agree.

>>64018820
The thing is, the environment got way more competitive now than what it used to be. More teams are willing to spend billions for a chance to fight for the title. Again, not calling for buying Messi for 500 mill and CR7 for a billion and calling it a day, but Arsenal should step their spending game up.
>>
>>64026740
>It's not like Wenger is doing a bad job. I just think he's doing a good job to a certain height
Spot fucking on.
>it's very possible to go beyond that height, but not with him
I agree that it's possible for Arsenal to go beyond their usual alas I'd still give Wenger a chance (if he, and everyone around him, board included, changes his approach).

Any chance Wenger goes for Big Willy?

Was he ever interested in him or was it just a meme story the media was making up? He'd be pretty goat t b h. Big Willy/Coq interchanging would be nice
>>
At least with Cazorla out we may see a return of Wilshere - Ramsey pivot
Chance for Wilshere to earn his starting spot.

Though if we manage to be in the title race come Coq's return with only Flamini as our fit DM we'd have to win it all surely
>>
>>64028253
>Suppose Ozil does get injured
Season over.
Also wilshere is supposedly running again in training so I reckon it'll be him getting a run there with Ramsey staying at CM.

Qualification on the line and you need a goal?
>>
We've played some of our best recent football with Welbeck on the pitch and the people that don't acknowledge that are the idiots that never go to games and get all of their football opinions from the lad bible

Our best front line is having Sanchez, Welbeck and Walcott all on the pitch together and Wenger knows this too. He brings out the best in Sanchez especially as he creates space wonderfully, massively complements Sanchez's pressing game and is probably only second to Ozil on the team at keeping possession of the ball in the final third which allows Sanchez and Walcott to attack the space he creates.

Whenever I see someone in these threads say they want Welbeck gone I immediately know they never go to games and likely only watch highlights or half-watch hazy streams while posting on /arse/

Agreed, its no coincidence Alexi's form dropped off once Giroud returned as CF.
3 pacey front 3 players all interchanging is so much harder to defend against
Then Giroud can sub on and score like he was doing at the start of the season.

Its literally perfect

Going to be so sad when he doesn't even make the bench when everyone is fully fit
Ox may have more potential but Campbell is the better player.
he'll probably give up when he realises how no matter how hard he tries he'll never get in over OX though
>>

Wenger is obsessed with the Ox for some reason. He should be waking up to the reality that the Ox is not developing at the moment. A loan would do him good imo.

Only teams Arsenal are yet to face this season are Villa, City, Southampton and Bournemouth

Really need 12/12 points from these fixtures to have a shot at the title, considering the amount that can easily be dropped over the next half.

is ramsey his son or something? he always has heavy reactions for everything he does
>>
>>64029706
Arsene loves all his kids, especially when he's had to bring them through rough times like Ramsey's leg and patchy form pre 2013-14
>>
>>64029706
Was a crucial goal. Sunderland were looking to score another and came really close
>>
>>64029706
Because despite what /sp/ will tell you, when Ramsey is on form, he's absolutely fucking incredible. The problem is that he's a confidence player so getting a goal helps with that.
>>
>>64029706
Ramsey is one of his favorites, Wenger has worked with him since he was 17 and Ramsey is potentially a top-3 player in the squad and potentially elite. He has invested a lot in Ramsey and it makes him happy when that gets rewarded.
>>
>>64029706
Ramsey being a success story would epitomize everything Wenger stands for.

You must be a UNITED supporter then LMAO.. ok you won a few CL's?? we been to the finals a few times just happened to lose 1 in penalities etc.. bad luck...(we were the FIRST LONDON CLUB though to make it to the CL final) only thing UNITED has done better than what Arsenal has done.. which we will get our CL title this season you will see. Anyways besides that Arsenal TOPS UNITED in EVERYTHING ELSE.. 13 FA CUPS (MOST IN ENGLISH HISTORY) back2back fa cups not too mention.. ONLY TEAM in ENGLAND premier league EVER to go the ENTIRE SEASON UNBEATEN<-- just right there is enough for you to keep your mouth shut. And before the PREMIER LEAGUE we won the league 13 times then 3 premier league titles. Arsenal has won two EUROPEAN honours: the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup in 1970 and the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1994. We have one of the HIGHEST INCOMES IN THE WORLD, and LARGEST FAN BASE. In 2014 we were the 5th most valuable football club in the WORLD!!!! CATCHING UP TO YOUR SHIT CLUB SOON!!. Arsenal also in '2015 is VALUED only a few £100 million less. Your team is complete trash nowadays. Everyone has LEFT your club that even MATTERS.. No more GIGGS, SCHOLES, RVP, FERDINAND... those days are long gone, you guys are going down hill more and more every year!! have FUN WITH THAT!!. We had a drought in the mid 2000's->2013 but now were back to winning silverware, and are team is damn STRONG and not many teams right now have £200 million in the bank to spend on WHOEVER THEY WANT!! not even UNITED after they WASTED MILLIONS on shit players!! When BENZEMA comes or another STAR STRIKER in the next window this season kicks off beware!!. I am done with your stupid ass, UNITED's fall from the thrown of english football is inevitable.... keep DREAMING!!.

Anon this is a glorious time! Cazorshit being ruined means we can finally have a good CM. Coquelin's injury came from being stretched to his limit covering for this spic manlet shitter
>>
>>64058778
I'd imagine that Coq and Big Willie would have to share duties and just rotate them.
Possibly play both at once to rest Cazorla/Wilshere/Isco if we get him.
If Isco did come in Cazorla would be dropped to back up immediately before eventually getting sold with Jeff/Wilshere as back-ups I'd imagine senpai
>>
>>64059219
That's a shame, I like having cazorshit & Arteta mentor the spanish lads and build up squad morale
>>
>>64059255
I do too but I'm not sure how much longer Cazorla wants to play and he might not be happy being a back-up for 3 or so years before he retires or whatever.
At the moment Isco is the best replacement I can see for Cazorla and he's the signing I want other than a CDM.
Though I doubt we'd get Big Willie as I reckon Wenger will see him as too expensive. Sucks as he's my first choice for that position.
>>
>>64059322
the scary thing is that we might need a new LB after next season
>>
>>64059368
We wouldn't sell NachNaco Man would we?
He's been too good and I can't even imagine a replacement that's up to snuff and feasible off the top of my head.
Signings we should try for this January though: Big Willie, Isco just for the hell of it and acheeky 6 month loan deal with option to buy for Pato.

I doubt we'd get Isco but a man can dream can't he? But Wenger would never spend £60m-£70m in one transfer window, let alone a January one.
>>
>>64059505
i don't think we'd sell him, but i think a replacement would be groomed

how has it come to this where I think this could be a good deal
>>
>>64059596
Oh yeah, we need to start grooming a replacement but that just makes good forward thinking sense desu senpai.
>>64059759
Club wants him out, gives us depth and variety up-front and could possibly be cheap due to a falling out with his clubs owner.
I actually rate Giroud but he works better as a super-sub and as a change of tactics. Not first option.
>>
>>64059505

Jizzco isn't worth that much. Assuming no crazy buyout clause he's still £35m though. De bruyne money if United/city get involved.
>>
>>64037533
It is, though. Product of gym and usual "poison", but real.
>>
>>64060036
But Big Willie's buy-out clause is £35m so it would be £70m unless we can get one for cheaper.
Personally I think it'd be worth it. They'd give us the talent and depth we need to push forward for the title.
>>
Is Isco a winger?
>>
>>64060117
Can play there so when Wilshere's fit if we had him we could have

Cech
Bellerin-Kosc-Mert-Nacho
Big Willie-Wilshere
Isco-Ozil-Sanchez
Giroud

If Wenger spends right.

Hopefully he works on his finishing while injured. I miss watching him play
>>
>>64063579
I think balance and composure are Wellblack's biggest problems. It can't be right that he falls over literally every single time he scores, it's not like he's really slow and he has to strain to reach the ball.

Still, Arsene has a good record for developing pacy, reasonably technical and powerful black wingers into lethal strikers, so we'll see. Probably going to be more of a Wiltord than an Henry for us in terms of contribution, but let's see if we can't upgrade him to a Kanu (minus the heart condition obviously)
>>
>>64063594
Yeah fingers crossed. He'd be a great back-up or rotational player if he did.
>>64063600
Composure sure. I think that's what gives him such a bad rep for his finishing. He can actually put them away nicely, when there's no pressure. As soon as there is you can see the composure leak out of him like water in a sieve.

Balance, I can't really remember ever seeing him play and think "his balance is fucking awful" so I might have to go rewatch a few games if I have the time.
>>
>>64063579
>>64063571
I put ramsey in the middle purely for the sake of added physicality against shit teams that try to kick us to death. Isco would be better for controlling the tempo of the game even though Big Willie is very good at setting & controlling the tempo himself. Another option could be what I like to call the 'Mourinho'

Cech
Bellerin-Kosc-Mert-Nacho
Big Willie-Coquelin
-------Ramsey
Ozil-Sanchez-Welbeck

Keynotes would be that Isco/Wilshere/Ramsey could all replace Welbeck or Spicy on the wings in a pinch or you can put theo or Jiroo up top if the match needs a more focused outlet or a speedy counter attacker.

(All three forward players would swap positions but save Spicy from burning himself out)

You know you want him too.
Let us dream. He's also the only one available. Bender is injured now too and he'd be my second choice.
Then it's either Neves or Rabiot. Neves doesn't have a buyout clause as far as I'm aware and PSG would loan Rabiot at most I'd imagine.
If Wenger doesn't get Cavarhlo he's fucked up big time. Even if he has to hit his buyout clause (£35m) he should do it.
