That wasn't even the worst refereed game of the week. It hasn't been worse than replacement refs, they were an intolerable level beyond anything else but for only a few weeks. We've had 12 weeks of incompetence which is better than the replacement refs but still a mockery.

If every team is disadvantaged by poor refereeing, than no team has an objective advantage. Quit whining and accept your first loss like most of the Pats fans.

About literally what? Most Vikings fans wanted a winning record at worse and a wild card at best and now an actual division win is possible.

We are literally the most apathetic fanbase out there. They are 8-3 and I am still expecting a massive fuck up.

I only take solace in the fact that a Zimmer based defense is going to be tormenting teams for years to come.

>It takes true autism to count wins near the end of the regular season as if it supports your argument
How do you figure?
>>
>>63952425

I want the text wall, all this graph explains to me is that the weight of a loss/win is proportional to the strength of the opponent.

what actual numbers are you using?
>>
>>63952389
>they all had losing records at the time
GB didn't, and all three other teams were one game below .500.
>>
>>63952473
Those teams had losing records when they faced the panthers but near the end of the regular season, odds are you'll break the .500 plane simply because you might face other weak teams. Titans, Browns, and Ravens are the only teams with less than 5 wins now
>>
>>63952508
just like it says, every team is set to .500, then every game in the season so far is given a value again between 0 and 1 for each win/loss.

so for example, during the first iteration a .500 team plays a .500 team. the winner receives .750 and the loser gets .250 for just that game. add up all the points for every game, and average them out to get a new rating.

teams that have winning records will now be higher than .500 and vice versa, but I keep repeating the iterations until the results all converge on some number with about 12-13 digits of accuracy.
>>
>>63952586

na da toxins was 0-1 when the Panthers booty blasted them.

toxins still da bomb doe
>>
>>63952605
>odds are you'll break the .500 plane simply because you might face other weak teams
Everyone faces weak teams. That's how you get wins, dumbfuck, by beating the teams you're supposed to beat, while the bad teams lose to teams that are better than them.
>>
>>63952605
Texans beat the Bengals, Jets, and Saints in their 4 game winning streak to get to above .500 so they're not necessarily padding their record against teams that are lying down for better draft positioning. Same with the Colts, who beat the at-the-time unbeaten Broncos, the Falcons, and the Bucs.

I'll give you the Seahawks, who won 4 of their last five but three of those wins were against the Romo-less Cowboys and the Niners twice, but they're still the reigning NFC Champs and are supposed to be nigh unbeatable at the CLink.
>>
>>63952508
>>63952617
I mean, all the raw data that is needed is the schedule results, the rest is just applying the algorithm.

If you want me to post the end-result values gained for your team in their whole season so far, I can do that to show which games gained/lost them more points. It's a bit annoying to extract them by hand like that though, so I'd rather only do it once just to make the point, not taking requests for every team.

Also I can tell you right now that the way the system works, every game is going to be 1.000 for the Panthers, so pick some other team.

Welcome to Hell the rest of the NFC East.

There is no more winning. You have already lost. The division is ours. And it must pain you.

If I was a fan of the Cowboys, the Giants, or the Eagles I wouldn't be able to sleep at night.

Every Giant fan must know that they have done nothing but beat themselves. They are losers to their core, their failure is inevitable.

The Eagles are trash fiends. Scrapping the bottom of Chip "snake oil salesman" Kelly's barrel of lies. You are weak, your schemes are week. You're people are weak.

Cowboys. Oh, what a disaster. Your villainy is manifest in one dark creature known as Jerry. Is old and a fool. All of his "sacrifices" for victory have destroyed any chance that his team ever succeeds. The 90s are over and they are never returning.

The Redskins will win this division. They are better than you. They will play January football, you will be on your couch putting your shit jerseys up for sale on craiglist.

Seriously? The Cardinals have played three quality opponents

>Pittsburgh
loss
>Seattle
win, but Carolina beat them too
>Cincinnati
win, but it's Andy Dalton in primetime so who gives a fuck

So neither has had a harder schedule than the other, but at the end of the day, 11-0 > 9-2

0.30629181 Indianapolis Colts
0.66042149 Jacksonville Jaguars
0.13195731 Miami Dolphins
0.58062122 Tennessee Titans
0.93480883 Cincinnati Bengals
0.73412340 New York Jets
0.66583827 New Orleans Saints

Those are the values picked up by the Texans using the final converged numbers for each team. So, for example, the Saints' rating ended up being 0.28804551 and the Texans are at 0.53064173. Since the Texans beat the Saints, you put those numbers into this:

Value = Saints x (1 - Texans) + Texans

and the number you should get is 0.66583827 which matches the value posted in the list above. Then if you average all 11 of those values together, it comes out to 0.53064173, which is the value the Texans ended up getting.

Just for reference, since the Saints lost to the Texans, the value that they got for that game (rather than what the Texans got) is even simpler:

Value = Texans x Saints

yeah, record at the time of the game is meaningless as it should be, because that would mean factoring in hype and expectations going into the game, and this is about describing the reality of what actually happened.

technically speaking, losing to a perfect 1.000 neither hurts nor helps your record at all. if you'll notice, the value they got for the panthers game is exactly the same as the final texans rating, because losing a game is just Team A x Team B, and if Team B is already at 1.000 then it's just going to be the same. there's really no way to quantify an undefeated team's impact when all you're using is who won and lost and nothing else, I'd either have to be subjective rather than objective, or include more variables.

as for "da bomb" factor, the colts ended up with a slightly better value so far, so the texans are about 0.47 away from being da bomb of the AFCS. at least you're in the top half of the league and have a realistic shot at the division.
>>
>>63953471
David Carr admitted he was lazy and didn't spend enough time getting better himself. The Texans didn't help him much but Carr is more responsible for his own bust status than they are.

>>
>>63953872
alright fine, let me spin your OWN logic on your head just for context

if you say "most teams get to .500 anyways" then thats true for both teams that were bad AND teams that were good, so they have to be held to the same standard.

that means that if it doesn't matter much when you beat a team that had a bad record at the time, and only started winning a lot after you played them, then it ALSO doesn't matter much when you beat a team that had a good record at the time, and only started losing a lot after you played them.

you either have to apply whole-season context to both, or neither. saying that wins against teams with winning records at the time matters more than teams that ended up with a winning record on the season is incongruous.

hitting receivers in the knees shouldn't be allowed, and if the refs didn't blow about 8 other huge calls gronk wouldn't be injured because he wouldn't be in that situation

Why do Iggles fans even want their team to win? If I was a Philly fan I would root for them to lose all their games so Chip Kelly would have a better chance of being fired.
Their season is over anyway, and even if they make they playoffs they're getting btfo.
>>
>>63952298
Yes, but the panthers played them when they were at their worst.
>>
>>63955327
Clever of them.

Bronco fan here. I really want Peyton to come back and lead this team to the playoffs and beyond. Osweiler is Gabbert tier.

I actually don't understand it. What does it mean when the defender pulls a rip move and why is it not holding?
>>
>>63955400
I agree Broncos fag. Put Peyton back in for the playoffs so you guys can lose first round and we don't have to see your shit team in the post season for very long

Packers are so fucking shit

It would be a shitty way to end Manning's career if they don't bring him back. He still has enough in the tank.

>>63955432
The Broncos are making the AFC title game minimum.
>>
>>63955425
Eyeshield 21 taught me that tall guys use swim moves and short guys use rip moves, average height people are shitty linemen.
>>
>>63955458
problem is, his foot injury is very age-related and it's really not easy to treat, he probably won't be 100% again
>>
>>63955468
They can throw away a game or two just to get him the record.

Wew lads

But honestly, I'd like to know how this compares to the rest of the league. Sounds bad but probably is middle of the pack at worst

Was your birthday wish for the Colts to start losing again?

Why do the Pats get by with the injuries excuse?

Any other team doesn't get that benefit -- well, except Dem Boys.
>>
>>63955680
Most teams absolutely get that benefit, are you kidding me?

What is the reason everyone gives for the Packers being shit this year? Jordy's out.
>>
>>63955675
Luck may be shit in the regular season but he's great in the playoffs. Like most AFC qbs
>>
>>63955689
>Most teams absolutely get that benefit, are you kidding me?

Not from what I've seen. Everytime non-Pats/Dem Boys fans bring up injuries, it's met harshly.

>MUH INJURIES
>>
>>63955675

Nope. Super Bowl time.
>>
>>63955464
