The only reason relegation/promotion works in divegrass Euro leagues is that they have a balanced scheduled.
Every team faces each other twice, once at home, once at away.
The EPL only has 20 teams, so that's 38 games per season.
There's no way in fuck you could do it fairly without having teams play 62 games, or dramatically reducing the playing field down to 9-12 teams in the top league.
Because then the afc wouldn't be able to be schedule babies every year.

20 team league. You play every team every year. The talent is spread out over just 20 teams so every team has 4 or 5 elite guys.
Add 8 new teams to create a second division with the 12 relegated teams. There is more than enough talent to fill these rosters with all the guys coming out of college that never get a chance.
