So who ya got lads? The left wing socialist franchise (red bulls) or the neo-nazi right wing franchise (NYCFC)

I'm not a huge fan of franchise ownership structure, but I'm not sure how you can disregard political affiliations of the fans or owners based solely on ownership structure.

it's almost like you are spouting memes and unsuccessfully trying to critique a system you have already decided to dislike.

Political affiliation with sports clubs come from local ties. Often it's when one city/region has several clubs and they split the fanbase a little bit along the political specturm.
When a franchise can just take a team and leave and have that team play at the other end of the country, it's hard to buy into local, political affiliation.

And really, it's not like the US has a billion football teams. If you want to watch MLS, you go to your nearest stadium regardless if you're a nazi or a commie.

you better be a fan of a lower league team, because most big yuro clubs are different from what you are mocking in name only.

Absolutely not.

There isn't a single club in the UK called 'Greggs United' or 'Waitrose Rovers' with fans who go round calling themselves the Greggs ultras and walking round in fucking bakers uniforms

The only franchise that exists in Britain is MK Dons and that's just because they stole Wimbledon's suffix. A bit different to naming your club after another company
>>
>>63888111
I already knew everything you just typed, and none of it addressed my point. each team has a group of people that support them, and there are emergent cultures within the groups of people who make up those support groups. I think they are try-hard faggots, but it has nothing to do with the fact that the teams are franchises rather than clubs.

And in this specific incidence that you are commenting on, these are two teams in different parts of the same metro area. You can take subways from one stadium to the other.

Fuck yourself klaus.

Is that the requirement? Moving
The Red Bulls have never moved
Only one MLS team has ever moved and it was more of a restart since the history stayed with the expansion team that came afterwards
>>
>>63888183
any club owned by a billionaire or small group of billionaires, any club that's publicly traded on a stock market, these people are not representative of your community. Germany does a good job of giving the fans direct ownership or at least voting rights, but this isn't the case in a lot of bigger clubs.

Whats the difference if the team is owned by Red Bull or an oil sheik? A fucking word.

in the op chum, read it.

I read the beginning of the article and it's basically about how when MLS started Americans tried to be like yuro ultras and introduce politics into the stadiums, culminating in a clash between left wingers and right wingers.

But now MLELS is plastic as fuck so all the fans are apolitical, just like what happened in most first world countries that don't have secessionists or narcos.
