>>63841216
Quality of loss is not how you compare teams. To quote the spokesman of the committee, "a loss is a loss". It doesn't make up for beating nobody at all.
Baylor losing to Texas would obviously have an interesting impact to the equation though.
>>63841231
Is that bait? Oklahoma >>>>>> 3 loss Stanford with 0 ranked wins, potentially 4 loss Stanford with 0 ranked wins of they don't win the Pac 12 championship. 2 loss TCU with a win over Baylor >>>>>> 2 loss Navy in the AAC with 0 wins over teams with a pulse. Texas Tech with a meaningful win over Arkansas >>>> Temple who didn't even play a single one of the three best AAC teams, lost to fucking USF, and whose best win is a lifeless Penn State. USC will be a five loss team, most likely, and beating a five loss team with one ranked win is pretty much on par with a 8-4 West Virginia. Are we gonna start arguing that fucking Virginia being arguably better than Kansas is what gives ND a better resume?
>>63841358

>>63841372
circular logic in the BigXII is their argument every fucking year. TCU, Baylor, and OK St are not good. just like KSU and Texas Tech. None of these teams schedule good OOC opponents regularly
ND is taking the Pac12 spot with a win over stanford and an OU loss, you're stupid to think otherwise
>mfw we almost keked Oregano after 8 straight losses scoring an average of 1 TD a game.

In that situation there's still conference championships to go, and it's a 100% lock that after Bama bootyblasts UF the committee will say "well they might have 2 losses and a shitty resume but they're playing the best football in the country RIGHT NOW" and move them to the top 4. Sound familiar?
Every single fucking year it's ND this, ND that.
Can you guys just fuck off already? Team has been total shit and won't win anything worth a damn for awhile, stop it.
>>63841495
But those teams are fucking Temple and Navy. You are counting the record of shit teams from the AAC against teams like fucking Tulane and Tulsa as the same as teams with wins over SEC opponents, actual SEC teams, and teams with P5 recruiting. And Oklahoma's opponent record is heavily skewed by the fact that Kansas is 0-11. Your argument is literally "Notre Dame's worst opponents are better than Oklahoma's worst opponents". Big fucking deal. Both teams would beat Virginia. Notre Dame has yet to play a single quality opponent and their highest ranked opponent just got BTFO

>>63842424
I would assume that because the Committee likes conference champs they'd pick UNC before all the other 2 loss teams
>yfw the early games for tomorrow don't suck

they like conference champs, but no way they like them enough to choose UNC in that situation. I would be shocked if a 1 loss UNC ACC champ got in over a 4 loss USC Pac 12 champ if all of that happened and Clemson was a two loss team, to be quite honest.
Only hope they would have is if they were Clemson's only loss, but even then Clemson would get in over them most likely because they beat both ND and FSU.

So much this. Les Miles has been a thorn in my teams side; a worthy adversary. Corndogs are completely deluded to think they can do better than him.
Look what happened to the Gators rolling the dice on Muschamp. Look at Tennessee. Look at UGA.
Just because you have a name brand football program doesn't mean you're guaranteed wins. Les Miles is elite and I think he is a much, much better coach than Jimbo.
There's nothing I'd like more than not to suffer losses due to fake field goals and the tigers going 8/8 on 4th down or whatever, except perhaps to have another powerhouse on my team's schedule turn into a cupcake husk of what they were in their glory days. I tempted to say 'Poor Les', but Les will endure.
Instead I say 'Poor LSU', for they know not what they do.
The only thing I have to say on the Les Miles situation is how unfair it is to the players and a loyal coach who delivered them a Natty. Absolutely disgustion; I have no idea how they'll get a new coach when the AD treats an 11 year coach like they are.
>>63847194

That wouldn't be disappointing. That would be expected. I'm just listing top 25 vs. 25.
Luv u herbstreit
It just feels like everybody else is competing for 2nd place because Alabama is easily winning it all this year.

>That wouldn't be disappointing
except it would be the final nail in the coffin for any playoff hopes for michigan or Ohio state this season

> Michigan vs. Ohio State
Will be a blowout by Michigan.
> Florida vs. Florida State
Will definitely be a blowout by Florida State
> Notre Dame vs. Stanford
Will probably not be a blowout.
> Oklahoma vs. Oklahoma State
About a 50/50 chance of a blowout. Hoping it won't be though.
All 4 being blowouts: I'd say about 10%

Part of me wants to see Michigan in the 4th with less than a 7 point lead. Knowing them, anything can happen.

desu anything to shut the mouth of Swinney is fine by me.

What happens if Alabama loses to Auburn, Clemson loses to SCar, Oklahoma loses to Okie State, Notre Dame Loses to Stanford, UNC loses to NC State, tOSU loses to Michigan, Sparty loses to Pedo State, and UF loses to FSU? What would the playoffs be?
All this running around in circles trying to justify your team for a playoff spot.
How do you handle it all? I couldn't baka. I'm glad I went to a school that everyone knows is playoff worthy. It's like intuition, nobody doubts it.
Good luck with your bids! (so glad we don't need luck senpai).

Good one friend. Good luck with the iron bowl, don't kick any long field goals

Pls
Lee Corso doesn't even watch football any more. All he does is simply meme.
How did he get in this position in the first place. He had a loosing record as a coach and only won one bowl.

>Citadel
even better
>>63848475
You mean The Citadel
>Clemson loses to Scar
>Then to UNC
>Citadel declared ACC Champion

Literally nothing would change since they'd all have 1/2 losses.

>Ranked #2 anyways by the people who determine the top 25
I've seen this argument before. It doesn't matter. As long as the coaches poll ranks Bama #2 (and it will until they lose), it doesn't matter what the coaches poll ranks their opponents. Actually it's kind of silly to argue that they're a bad team by saying their opponents are ranked poorly by the coaches poll, and ignore the coaches poll ranking them super high.
Bama wins out, and they're in. No matter what.

The Clemson game. I intended on shitting more than an Indian on a beach.
