Realistically speaking?
>>
2030
>>
Never.

Maybe once brazilian clubs get out of debt and football modernizes. Some clubs are already debt-free and next year we're getting a pretty huge TV deal which is a 50% increase, bumping us from 7th to 6th league in the world.

If we got a foreign coach like Pep (who said he'd like to coach huezil), we'd win the next one and probably all the ones after that, though.
>>
>>63834348
Pep as a coach? Would that even work, considering no country that had a foreign coach has won a World Cup.
>>
>>63834390
http://www.espnfc.com/brazil/story/2515365/pep-guardiola-turned-down-as-brazil-coach-dani-alves

We only have 1 mid-tier coach (Tite) right now, all the others downright suck. There's no interchange with Europe, everyone else is too insular and only cares about winning the home league, it's been the same people around for 20,30 years.

Anything would be better than Dunga or Scolari. There's no shortage of top players (Dani Alves, Juninho, Juan, R. Carlos, Roque Junior) who point out the giant disparity between the work they do in europe and the work done in the NT and brazilian clubs.
>>
South America will never win another World Cup again desu

It's going to be Europe and - given 20 years or so - the US who dominate world football.

I don't know if we'll win another World Cup, but if we do, I guarentee it'll still be before you do, even if it's a century from now. Hell, Argentina and at least one of Chile/Colombia/Urgay probably will too.

When you say "europe" you should specify that you really mean Germany/Spain/France/Italy, the real contenders. No matter how relatively shit we are, we'll produce better players and teams than England until the end of time.
>>
There's enough talent to do it for the next two editions, just a matter of not having a retard in charge and having a bit of luck.

Dunga out as soon as Del Nero is arrested.

Pretty good, I'd just put Marcelo for Alex Sandro (neither can defend, so at least put the better attacker) and play Dani Alves until someone else comes up because Douglas sucks. Also the GK needs to be Diego Alves.

Speaking of Valencia players, they have that 18yr old kid from Vasco, Danilo Barbosa, which is easily our best young DM prospect, played in all youth NT categories, kid is class.
>>
>>63834952
Oscar is utter trash.
>>
>>63834914
But that makes no sense.

Rossi's genetic make-up is Italian, and you're saying he's Italian despite being born in America. You made the comparison of Rossi being American (the country of his birth) being the same as those players being Caribbean, their genetic make-up, not the country of their birth.

Understand?
>>
Friends, please disregard this kid. He's one of those fear preachers. He's too young and too scared himself. Probably too impressed with european football as well.
People like that ignore that SA players and coaches are the most responsible to what football has become. With a little addition from the dutch here, the english there, the spanish there as well.
However precarious SA's conditions always were.
>>63834348
>>63834434
>>63834597

All we need is 10 years of constant, deep progression and a good tactician.
Have the kids familiarize with football in a recreational way first, to let their creativity blossom on the pitch, then shape their technique as they get older, then introduce them to tactics when they're ready.

Stop picking players for their premature physique like we currently do to make them more 'exportable'.
We aren't midgets, like the chilean, we don't need to worry about this, we clearly can do better.

To call Tite mid-tier coach is an insult, and also a proof of your absence of clue. He's vastly superior to Gallardo, Arruabarrena, Gareca, Bauza, Coudet or any other SA coach in the continent atm.

The only coach I'd say is on par with him is Sampaoli. And we are yet to see one against each other.
You don't always have to see two coaches play a match to decide which of the two can do a better job. Tite and Sampaoli always had very different roster options and philosophies as well. Though both methods are very modern.

Sampaoli is hyped for having won a refballed cup when every other nation was either too dizzy after the WC or being mugged on the pitch.
Brazil and Argentina had changes on their command, their coaches were yet knowing what could be done with the roster they have. Uruguay was blatantly mugged, so was Peru. Everyone else couldn't compete.

Sampaoli is also hyped because being a Bielsa 'disciple' seemingly means you're some kind of magician or that you're one step away from playing as aggressive as him or Pep Guardiola.

7-1 might have messed with your perception a bit. We're still semifinalists in the 2 most recent world cups, finalists in the u20 world cup, won the Memederations cup in 2013, our players are still sold at a premium around the world, we'll probably win a ballon d'or when Nerman steps up and Missi gets too old, we have the largest number of players playin abroad amongst all countries and enough youth talent for another 15 years.

We're still very much a first-tier nation in football, like it or not. And I don't think anyone other than Spain/Argentina/Germany/France can even challenge us in this generaton.

Any serious club hires brazilian at a premium because, for all the faults that player might have, he'll at least have good technique, and all the rest you can teach/improve.

Football 101, technique is the hardest thing to learn.

First of all, if Germany/VW/Beckenbauer's scandal proved anything, is that those nations are as involved with the corruption in the bidding procces as anyone else. France is also heavily suspected of that in their 98 hosting.

Second, if your nonsense proposal went ahead that, every other confederation, but especially CONMEBOL, would just pull out andd FIFA would have no right to call it a world cup.

Oh yeah, what with it being played in the middle of the year and not the Christmas holidays so people don't have a lot of time off to watch it, then the shit crowds that will be there with no party atmosphere or mass fanfare, super subdued atmosphere in general due to it being held in a dictatorship country, the 40C heat at night making the games be played at a slow pace with guaranteed 5min 'cooling breaks' every 30 mins. . . .
