I love Klopp, but Rafa took us from a UEFA cup team to #1 ranked team in Europe, BTFO of Real, Barca, Milan etc...
If Klopp can achieve that too it'd be incredible. I wouldn't swap him for anybody right now

Rafa has struggled since leaving, and he's made many bad mistakes and choices.
But 04-09 Liverpool were incredible, they could beat any team in Europe without it being a shock, even BTFO of Real 5-0 over 2 legs. And Liverpool qualified for CL comfortably every year. Rafa built this team without crazy money, which is staggering when you think where LFC was before he took over.
I hope Klopp can do close to the same, although a PL win would be the ultimate prize

Good times, good times. Doubt Klopp can get Liverpool back to that level, but hopefully he can at least make them good in European competition again.

Liverpool should have won it no doubt, but that just goes to show how great the job Rafa did was. He took Liverpool from UEFA cup hopefuls to a team that was #1 ranked in Europe, CL quarter/semi/finalists every year, and qualified with ease.
Pretty similar situation to Klopp now really, I think he can do the same, but acting like Rafa wasn't great for Liverpool is dumb. he totally transformed expectations at the club

They won the CL. So did Chelsea. That doesn't make them the #1 ranked team. They both were not the best team in the competition that season but football, like all sport, doesn't work on who is the best on paper.
Rafa deserves credit for getting Liverpool to the CL final so that Stevie G could go apeshit in the second half and rip what was a great Milan team to shreds.
Liverpool have not been a top 5 ranked European team for over 20 years.
The last teams to be top 5 ranked from EPL were probably united/chelsea between 2008-2012
