Datsyuk and Z are looking at close to 1000 points career totals. Both have had the benefit of playing with the likes of Yzerman, Lidstrom, fedorov, shannahan, chelios, etc, while playing in an era that generally had more scoring than we see today
Larkin looks promising, but he'll only end up playing with Z and Datsyuk for another 3-6 years (Datsyuk would be 43 and that's pushing it), then he's going to have to pull his own weight AND the rest of the team as well
when you look at Yzerman, he did that, and a lot of parallells have been drawn to Yzerman being that Larkin is one of 2 wings that have played in the NHL in their teens after Yzerman. Larkin is 19. He's full of energy, he goes after the puck, and he makes smart plays. But who knows if he slows down? Datsyuk only barely did in the last 6 years. Larkin could be another Nyquist or Tatar, players that we had hoped on but that have largely not been as good as we had hoped they would be
