Legitimate good question probably underutilized like he was at Michigan and even if 2001 happened exactly the same at the start they would have went back to Bledsoe when he healed up later that season and used Brady for tradebait. the early success the pats had can probably be chalked up to belichick as they were largely defensive teams and belichick is a defensive mind.
but for most of the last decade its basically been brady keeping it afloat while bill drafted bust corner after bust corner.
josh mcdaniels doesn't get enough credit either, the guy is an offensive genius.

it's a GIGANTIC luxury in the nfl to be in a division you auto win. just ask the colts and packers for pretty much the past decade. that's 6 games you don't really have to plan for too much because you know your opponents will spaghetti for you. all you have to do is not get hurt and concentrate on the rest of the season & conference.
brady goes to any other team and he's 2nd tier qb above game manager but no coach is smart enough to cover his weaknesses with bubble screens and dual-TE sets and slot receivers for maximum YAC advantage so he struggles
belichick doesn't go to new england, and they ride out bledsoe until his arm falls off and the afc east turns into a crapshoot of 4 bad teams going for the division

Pats under mcdaniels always look to target the weaknesses and thats why I laugh when people bring up sherman and thomas' injuries in that owl. Wouldn't matter if they were completely healthy, brady targeted them once, picked on everyone else but them. Motioning gronk off the line to get a favorable matchup with slow linebackers. Its brilliant to watch

NFC north has been loaded for past decade the last 2-3 years notwithstanding. Every team but the lions made at least a conference championship and 2 made the owl.
