People give way too much credit to BB for Cassel's 08 performance. He was playing with maybe the GOAT team ever, had the easiest schedule in the league by a long shot, and had Brady helping him on the sidelines almost every game. Brady had that same team the year previous, played a very tough strength of schedule including 3 undefeated teams, and still won 16/16 games in the regular season. Cassel goes in next year and loses 5 more games against a much easier group of teams. Yes having belichick as a coach is a huge advantage, but no it wasn't the only reason that 08 team won 11 games.
