>Qatar Airways across the front of the chest while UNICEF is relegated to a tramp stamp
The payments to UNICEF have increased more than double since putting their name in the back. UNICEF cares about the money they recieve so they can help people in need, they don't give a fuck about their name placement. They have no publicity or commercial interests.
>the fascist Boixos Nois have always been supported by the club's presidents apart from a token ban in 2004 that lasted only a few years
False, the ban is still upheld and extended to away games whenever possible, and it was the first team in liga to ban ultras from the stadium. According to you it was a token ban during the Laporta era, that would make it at least a 7 year ban, quite a large token I'd say. The ban also included firing plenty of the old security and low management staff that were accomplices to the ultras.

Shit, do you have an internship with Barca's marketing department? You've really built their bullshit hook, line, and sinker. A ban means nothing if you don't enforce it, and Boixos Nois still shows up in the curva.

7 years is a mere blip in Barca's 100+ year history, and conveniently coincides with their unprecedented glory that garnered them countless international fans that the new president realized he had to appeal to (and the world in general isn't big on fascist separatist ultras, or at least the world that has spending money). Ever since the 80s, this is what Boixos Nois has been.

Presidents Josep Lluís Núñez, Joan Laporta, and Joan Gaspart all openly supported Boixos Nois. Funny how that started right after Franco died, when Barca gave up the charade that they were actually interested in anti-fascist ideals and it became clear all along that they were just bitter that Madrid promoted Spanish culture over Catalan. Barca is a nationalist club with an international audience; it is as much of a postmodern contradiction as any football club in the world.

If you truly wanted to support a club that "pursue[s] ideals of freedom and anti-fascism" like OP claimed, you'd support Osasuna, Burgos, Almeria, Celta Vigo, Gimnastica, FC Cadiz, Deportivo La Coruna, Rayo Vallecano, Tenerife, or Sevilla, not bandwagon Barca.
>>
>>63760566
>being this keked by Madrid that you can't even use your province's own flag

You're a gullible dumbass. Boixos Nois still exists and beats up and kills fans of other teams. And their roots are so deep in the club's presidency that they'll never disappear.

At least when Catalonia secedes, no Spanish teams will have to play there, so no more fans will be stabbed and killed by your fascists.

To be fair, since the Messi/Pique/Biscuits generation the newer talent has been ok. Pedro was the last great player from La Masia.
>>
>>63766116
>doesn't know about 1991

Here's a more recent story for you:
>Past Barca presidents had paid and even courted the Boixos for political gain. Free match tickets, seats on planes to away games and a room in the stadium to store their banners were among the privileges enjoyed by the hardcore group who stood behind the goal at the Camp Nou.
>Laporta [who previously openly supported Boixos Nois and just wanted to be politically correct for the $$$] stopped all these when he was elected president in 2003. The Boixos were furious and death threats were daubed on the pavement outside his family’s apartment in Barcelona’s affluent Zona Alta. The Boixos boycotted games leaving the bizarre sight of 2,000 empty seats behind the goal.
>A few stayed, maybe 50, caged in behind glass partitions and watched by balaclava-clad police during matches as they chanted: "Barca, yes, Laporta, no!" continuously. They did that for years and given that the Camp Nou wasn't always the cauldron of noise portrayed by the media, everyone heard it.
>Most fans turned the other cheek, though occasionally they boo to let the remaining Boxois know that they’re not in agreement. The stay-aways watch the game in Bar Virginia, a scruffy neighbourhood haunt 200 metres from the stadium under the watchful eye of police.
>Laporta hoped that the Boixos and their right-wing conservative ideology would melt away. They didn’t. They continue to follow Barca away, often making up a sizeable majority of an otherwise poor travelling support. And they do not travel quietly, making their presence felt where it is easier to make it felt.

>In Munich ahead of the game with Bayern in 2009, a Barca security guard was punched in the face at the team’s hotel by a fan widely reported to be a member of the Boixos. That incident outraged Laporta, who said: “We have to talk less and act more. Either we take steps to prevent them from travelling and getting into the stadiums or we’ll see more serious incidents. We will continue to act with the same forcefulness and we will make no concessions to the aggressors.”
>[...] Club president Sandro Rosell met all fan groups last season – including the once notorious Boixos Nois who'd been banished by his predecessor. The police wanted their say too, with both them and the club insisting that they will not tolerate violence. A consensus is hard to reach.
>The Catalan police looked at some of the names of the people hoping to join, identifying many with criminal records and many former members of the Boixos. The police said they wouldn’t sanction the idea, until Barca could guarantee the concept was safe. Which means not filling a stand with madheads.
>At the same time, leaders of the Boixos were tried in connection with criminal activities like extortion and drugs. 'Their' end remains half full for most matches.

But anyway, every club in Europe had ultras back in the day.

You can find out the amount UNICEF recieves in the annual economic brief pdf that is posted at the club's web each year. It's also described by the president at the end of each economic exercise.

The ultras ban is still enforced to the point the club hasn't set up an animation stand (in high demand by attending fans for the last few years) because local police advise against it thinking it would be a focus of radical fans. If the club wasn't enforcing the ban the animation stand would already be there. A list of banned ultras is always sent to away stadiums so they can enforce it if they want (or can). The ban is enforced locally on all ultras with prior convictions or marked as dangerous by local police, who are directly involved in stadium security. A kid with a Boixos flag or a retard with a shaved head and tattoos will make it into the stadium if they have no priors or cops think they pose no danger.

>retarded drivel
Laporta supported boixos? fascist separatist ultras? postmodern contradiction? Bitter because madrid promoted spanish culture? kek what is this retarded drivel? Did you forget to take your meds? I don't even know where to start. And you think all those clubs listed don't have radical right and left wing supporters involved in all kinds of criminal activities? Are you fucking retarded? Do you have any idea of the amount of stupid shit you just typed? How old are you? Please, try to see things for yourself instead of simply making them up in your head.

I support Barça is because it's my local team, from my city, for the last 40 years, with the stadium at a 5 minute walk, you fucking idiot. You are a clueless mong without a single clue of anything you seem to think you know. Stop embarrassing yourself with all those vague and inaccurate claims. >The reason why you often see Boixos stuff at away games and finals as an organized group is that people affiliated with the Boixos still manage to get access to away tickets (in fact they still attend home games, but they do so individually and cannot display any of their symbols like Almogavers and other groups can do). There is a lot of politics behind the history of the Boixos, and some people within the club (Laporta, for instance) have argued that former president Nuñez in fact supported right-wing fascists in the task of infiltrating the Boixos back in the 1980s. Gaspart, whose presidency remains one of the darkest eras in recent Barça history, was also pro-Boixo.

>There was a scandal recently over the presence of Boixos and similar elements during the last home match vs. Real Madrid, where a flare was thrown to a crowd of Real Madrid fans in the Camp Nou. The scandal ensued because it was later known that president Rosell, who won the elections to the presidency with over 34% of the votes, had lied during his electoral campaign when he said that he had not met with the Boixos. In fact, as it turns out, the club under his presidency had been working to perhaps re-open the Camp Nou doors to violent groups once again (for the Real Madrid match Boixos and others apparently got really cheap tickets strategically distributed so as to remark the need for more "animacion"). It caused such an uproar amongst the "socis" that Rosell had to backtrack and the whole "Grada de animación" project has to my knowledge been suspended.
>[...] in modern history many of Barça board members have had prominent links with right-wing political parties. Former president Nuñez has been convicted of fraud or something like that and former president Gaspart is well-known for his connections and explicit support for the Popular Party (right-wing, Spanish nationalist).
>[...]in Catalonia [...] 85% of CiU voters (conservative nationalists) are Barça supporters
>>
>>63764620

>>
>>63766671
>In October 2005, he faced a scandal, when his brother-in-law and member of the board of directors in charge of security, Alejandro Echevarría, was revealed to be a member of the Francisco Franco Foundation. After several denials by Echevarría and Laporta, contested by documents shown by a former member of the board of directors, Laporta was finally forced to accept Echevarría's resignation. Echevarría continued, however, to be close to the club and he organized the security during the celebrations of the 2005-2006 Liga championship.

>Laporta's own political history added to the complications surrounding the Echevarría scandal, as his politics are diametrically opposed to those implied by Echevarría's membership of the Francisco Franco Foundation. Laporta is a self-described Catalan nationalist and has been identified on several occasions as supporting the independence of Catalonia from Spain.

He's phony as fuck, typical politician using populism to increase his own wealth and prestige. Why do you Hispanics always fall for that shit?
>>
>>63767237
