The quarterback calls audibles (hut hut-hike) to let the center know when to snap the ball. Peko made audibles, fooling the O-line into thinking the ball had been snapped.
actually not such a bad play from a risk/reward perspective, because if he got away with it there would be an automatic clock rundown and thus as good as a missed kick. It made a make-able kick into an easy kick tho.
