If you look at all these other European leagues, the best team (eg barca, bayern) literally breeze through their leagues and domestic cups even when they play their shitty second teams for half of the games. By the time the CL final arrives most other European teams have had their league wrapped up for a month and have been resting their main players during that time.
The only treble win in England was utd 99 and they had to win on the last day to guarantee the league.
