Don’t get me wrong, I’m as big a fan of night race’s as the next guy, but I’d be remiss if I failed to point out the glaring hypocrisy demonstrated by NASCAR in these situations. With a strong El-Nino causing havoc to the Jetstream and weather patterns across the United States, we’ve seen destruction on a mass scale. Electricity has and always will be a valuable commodity and one that should be used responsibly. NASCAR’s “green” campaign has shown their desire to be an environmentally friendly motorsport series.
