First for the Seahawks
>>
God, I'm so sorry, but I must keep posting this, because if I don't, something Scarletism worked really hard on will die

So yeah, just a quick reference thingy since we're at the season halfway point now. This is every team's strength of schedule change sorted by rank distance. For example, the Titans had the 25th hardest schedule so far (looking only at the games every team played), and they will have the 6th hardest schedule from here on out (looking only at the games left to play for every team), so the difference is -19. Obviously a negative number means the second half of the season will be harder, and positive numbers mean it will be easier, statistically speaking anyways.

30 Kansas City Chiefs
28 Indianapolis Colts
27 Jacksonville Jaguars
15 Baltimore Ravens
15 New Orleans Saints
15 San Francisco 49ers
14 Washington Redskins
13 Green Bay Packers
11 St. Louis Rams
8 Oakland Raiders
8 Pittsburgh Steelers
6 Seattle Seahawks
5 Carolina Panthers
5 Cleveland Browns
5 Detroit Lions
4 Dallas Cowboys
0 Miami Dolphins
0 New York Jets
0 Philadelphia Eagles
-2 Buffalo Bills
-6 Chicago Bears
-8 Cincinnati Bengals
-8 San Diego Chargers
-11 Tampa Bay Buccaneers
-12 New England Patriots
-17 Houston Texans
-18 Denver Broncos
-19 Tennessee Titans
-27 Atlanta Falcons
-27 New York Giants
-28 Arizona Cardinals
-29 Minnesota Vikings

nope, just a thing I made in like 10 minutes that I figured would be useful reference to share. whenever I do things like this, I don't know exactly how it's going to turn out. I didn't think the 49ers second half would rank that much easier for example, but that's what the numbers say. still gonna top out at 5-11 though, probably.

>my face when people actually think the team with the best defense and a top 10 offense in the NFL will miss the playoffs this season

>Alex Smith (objectively and statistically a top 10 QB, it isn't even debatable)
>Jamaal Charles (best RB in the game who will be 100% healthy, unlike the entirety of last year. he will put up 100+YDs/10+TDs/5.0YPC)
>Travis Kelce (a top 3 TE already going into this season will be fully recovered from knee surgery 2 offseasons ago, 1000+YDs/7+TDs)
>James O'Shaughnessy (literally a Travis Kelce-clone)
>Jeremy Maclin )top 15 WR, 900+YDs/5+TDs)
>Chris Conley (a white guy trapped in a black's body, one of the smartest players in football, elite measurables, incredible upside)
>DAT (one of the fastest and most explosive players in football)
>Anthony Sherman (best blocking FB in NFL)

>Best pass rush in the NFL
>Best LB corp in the NFL
>Besy secondary in the AFC
>Top 5 D-Line

Barring major injuries to key players, there is literally no way the Chiefs are missing the playoffs this season

Alex Smith is one of the most efficient and intelligent quarterback currently playing the game, and despite the meme he has average QB arm strength.
with a more competent cast he will prove himself a top 10 QB.

this is all objective fact and if you disagree you are just a butt mad faggot.
>>
>>63477277
I'm still not really sure how he lucked into the backup role to begin with. the way things were going, he wouldve been out of the league soon if it wasnt for baalke, and then for some reason they didnt get any better QB options all of last year or this year. the guy's pretty fortunate.

oops forgot the article
>Oakland Raiders linebacker Ray-Ray Armstrong could face serious charges after an incident involving a police dog before the team's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers last Sunday.

>WTAE's Marcie Cipriani reports that Allegheny County Sheriff's Office chief deputy Kevin Kraus is meeting with representatives from the district attorney's office to discuss potential chargers against Armstrong. The player allegedly "lifted his shirt, pounded on his chest and began barking" at the dog before heading onto the field.

>"We were immediately notified about the incident, and we immediately initiated a criminal investigation into the matter," Kraus said, via CBS Pittsburgh. "Sheriff's Office supervisors interviewed witnesses and reviewed video surveillance recordings at Heinz Field. We notified the District Attorney's Office on Sunday. The Sheriff's Office is currently reviewing all of the information and reports to make a final determination relating to charges."

>Pennsylvania law states that it is "unlawful for any person to willfully or maliciously taunt, torment, tease, beat, kick or strike a police animal." Anyone found in violation of the law faces third-degree felony charges.

Any Bears fans here? I don't know what to make of the state of things right now. Started 0-3, looked like the team was going to trade Forte, Jeffery, and any pieces to get draft picks.

Now they win 3 of 5, which easily could have been 4 or even 5 in a row. Some young defensive guys like Amos and Christian Jones look really solid, and the vets like Porter and McPhee are showing up, too. Cutler looks better than he ever has in his career, IMO, Langford looked really good yesterday, the offensive line is solid, Jeffery is a monster, Bennett is great, the Bears still have Kevin White who may be debuting soon (I hope), and the coaching has been pretty good. It's weird to see a competent offense on the field. The special teams are still bad, but this is an unreal turnaround. This team went from garbage fire 1-15 incoming to mediocre season and a lot of optimism.

I'm still not sold or anything, and, hey, this team is still 3-5 and the season is effectively over, but it's sort of an exciting time. I'm almost hoping they don't cut Cutler at this point.

>>63478191
I do, do you?
The last 3 games he's played I'd ranked him around 15/32 starting qbs
A lot of his problems have been to the eagles wide receivers have stone hands. At least 3 of his ints have been because of deflected/dropped passes because of the wrs
the oline is starting to play at a higher level, giving him more and more time in the pocket, and his play is definitely starting to improve

>>
>>63478225
Not a Burrs fan but Cutler isn't the issue right now. He's still better than 16 QBs in this league right now. I honestly don't know why he gets trashed the way he does. Garbage as fuck QBs like Bradford get so many passes and Cutler gets thrown in the trash more than anyone else even though he's at least a decent QB.

Because it's clear Chip Kelly values him a whole lot. I think the Eagles are gonna end up 10-6 and win the division. They'll probably lose in the first round, but that'll be good enough for Chip to give Bradford a new contract.
Who do you think should be the Eagles starter next year? You think there's going to be anyone in free agency better? I doubt it.
And I don't think anyone in this year's draft would be a whole lot better their rookie year in this offense.
Unless some crazy shit happens and we somehow trade for Mariota for next to nothing, I think Bradford will be the starter next year.

My dad is a casual Patriots fan (le sigh)
I've been actively watching for 12 years, but this past SB season finally got him on the bandwagon. He literally cares about nothing else involving sports except the Pats and golf. When we talk about the Pats post-game he just repeats what he sees on the news and pre/halftime/postgame shows.
>tfw no sports dad to celebrate and banter knowledgeably with
>>
>>63478468
No. Chip's said before that you need 2 NFL starting capable QBs. RG3 is not at this point and there is no need for another redemption project. He's ahead coach, not a QB coach, so he's not going to go into Year 4 with another different QB that needs a year to get going.

At this point Bradford > Kaepernick > RG3. If Bradford does not pan out, then Kaep > Bradford > Sanchez > RG3.
>>
>>63478508
>>63478437
So we potentially have Stafford, RG3, Kaep, and even Cutler hitting FA this year? That's going to be crazy

It feels like no teams are actually all that good this year.

Pats are beating on shitty teams. Only the Jets and Steelers were decent.

Bengals haven't beat any one good. Seattle and Steelers were decent at best.

Panthers I guess are good since they beat Seattle in Seattle and Green Bay. But both of those teams don't seem all that great either.

Packers are suspect. Who did they really beat before getting BTFO by the Broncos?

And the Broncos have the worst QB in the league.

Is anybody really good?

Potential rankings:
1. Stafford
2. RG3
3. Cutler
-huge power gap-
4. Kaep

RG3 was a bust, but has potential if they can fix his mechanics. Cutler is clutch, but inconsistent for 3 quarters, Stafford is talented, young and has a decent throwing arm. Would be the best choice.

No one wants Kaeperkek. I've never seen a worse QB in 8 games.

nigga I don't even want to admit it but Pats are once again the best team in the league. I'd be highly surprised if they don't win a SB again. Bengals are their only competition in the AFC and I'm still not sold on them in the playoffs. The NFC kinda sucks right now. Panthers are good but I don't think their success is sustainable. Relying on your QB to take the hits he's been taking will hurt them in the long run. And they have a tendency to let teams get back into games all the time. Packers have some serious problem on offense and defense. Cardinals could be the real dark horse but that's about it.
>>
>>63478573
Because this season has so many .500 or worse teams, it's hard to tell. imo the good teams are as follows

5. Cardinals

Because the rest of the division improved (on paper anyway) they lost both starting corners, Brady was another year older (for whatever that's worth) and the real possibility that that older Brady was going to miss 4 games to start the season.

I am one of those Pats fans that are overly cautious with getting my hopes up. By the same token I wasn't freaking out at 2-2 last year. I do think people buy into some mystique that isnt there, they are a great team but they don't seem unbeatable to me.
