And I'm not even trying to be a Brady fag here either. Looking for serious discussion. I'd say either the Broncos or packers.

What's the MHK for?
The Panthers are the new best team in football. Get over it.
>>63434697
Themselves, and injuries.
They did not play all that well today. Didn't protect the ball. Brady threw a pick. Edelman lost a fumble. Blount fumbled the ball on the goal line. Lewis almost lost a fumble on his injury play.
They have no O-linemen left. Had a fucking TE playing tackle today.
If they go into Denver with Lewis hurt, no O-linemen, and play liked they played today, they will lose.
This team is good, but I think they'll drop a game or two before the postseason. Injuries are really starting to mount.

The argument the Packers can has taken a bit hit.
Losing to Denver and Carolina means they might be one of the lesser of the elite teams.
At this point I say (oddly enough) Bengals or no one.
The Broncos offense just is not good enough and their defense is very good but it is not like it is the 85 bears and they play undisciplined at times (like today).
The Patriots Defense is actually pretty underrated and doesn't tend to let teams get cheap easy points which is a lot of the Broncos offense.... Those over the top plays and big YAC plays.
The Bengals still have some question marks of course but they right now have less than any other team besides Carolina...
I don't think Carolina can beat New England. Their D is good but their pass rush is not elite (which is key) and the Pats are very good finding the 3rd and 4th options.
The Panthers offense will have trouble vs the Pats D cause one thing the Pats D does well is stop 1 or 2 things you do the best. They will limit Carolina in the run game and not let Olson beat them. If they successfully take those 2 things away there is not much Carolina can do to score.
Would a 19-0 cancel 18-1?
>>63448003
Yes. A Perfect 19-0 is an argument ender.
Brady not the best ever? 19-0.
18-1? Well they went 19-0. Why should they do it twice when your team can't do it once.
Cheating? 19-0 with everything under a microscope.

>>63454474
they didn't do that in 2007, the starters were playing in week 17
>>63461665
they are going into this season with undefeated experience
If the Patriots get a first round bye the starters will play most of week 17. The Patriots brain trust hates to be out of a rhythm and there is no way they would let these guys go without playing a game for 2 straight weeks. Belichick has literally never rested the starters in week 17 if they had the bye there is no way he would do it this year.
I honestly feel like a lot of Peyton's 1 and done playoff seasons were because his coaches in Indy always had him rest for at least two weeks. I seem to remember a season where he didn't play all of week 16, sat out week 17, had a first round bye and then immediately lost in the divisional round.
post yfw the Pats go one and done
Bengals. Before anyone flips their shit, let me just say it is considering a lot of factors. The Bengals are one of the NFL's healthiest teams, and the defense chokes opposing teams in the redzone. With NE's O-Line not being very good, you will see Tom scrambling a lot. It'll be a good game tho I think and go down to the wire.
Bengals 1st seed: I'd say they win and go to the owl
Pats 1st seed: a bit of a toss up. Chances lean towards pats but no guarantee.

I'm a Packers fan too, but if the Packers continue to make the same coaching mistakes they've mad these past two games, I don't think the Pack stands a chance.
With that being said, if the coaching staff DID get their heads out of their asses and switched things up based on how the game is going, the Packers have the players to take down the Patriots. Pic related. The Packers did beat the superbowl champs last year.
Patriots haven't lost a real game in over a year

That or Gronk/Edelman. I like the Pats defense but they can't lose a big cog like one of those guys on offense and still be so dominant. Losing Lewis is already gonna hurt them a bit.

>>63489804
How have the Panthers not proven themselves to be elite? Serious question. Cam has matured by leaps and bounds. He is making more intelligent decisions and embarrassing defenses.
They just beat the 6-1 Packers for fucks sake....and the Colts, who just fucked the undefeated Broncos in the ass, the week before.
We have THE best defense in the league, and one of the most versatile offenses.

How can anyone like a team that cheated it's way to a superbowl? It's not even their first time getting caught cheating, and they'll continue to do so. If it wasn't for them cheating Tom Brady wouldn't be shit other than a C rated quarterback on a D rated team.
>>63491226
What? Butthurt that the Bradygang is better than the NFL?
The panthers offense would probably score about 10 points on the pats d.
>>63491530
As far as I know Cam can't throw a deflated football so you're probably right.
Bengals and Panthers have been able to get to 8-0 without deflating their footballs. Now that's impressive.
>>63434697
A decent defensive line
>>63492168
They've faced decent defensive lines all year, Brady gets the ball out too quickly for them to make an impact.
You need good secondary that makes Brady hold onto the ball a few more seconds and an offense that can expose their young corners.

>are you retarded?
No, read the Wells Report it establishes the fact that balls deflate naturally in cold weather by about 1 PSI, and the Patriots balls when measured were about 1 PSI under regulation.
>harshest punishment in league history
After an investigation, the NFL fined Patriots head coach Bill Belichick $500,000 (the maximum allowed by the league and the largest fine ever imposed on a coach in the league's 87-year history) for his role in the incident, fined the Patriots $250,000, and docked the team their original first-round selection in the 2008 NFL Draft which would have been the 31st pick of the draft. The fine garnered significant media attention for being the "maximum amount" an individual could be fined.
Can you point to a harsher punishment than this?
