it was so fucking hilarious though

it wasnt like i was asking for some stud for him, or even someone good. charles sims was like a fucking RB3.

i held onto williams for 5-6 weeks. i didnt give a fuck that it was burning a hole in my roster, i just refused to let him win and be able to get williams for nothing off the WW.

and lo and behold, i win in the end

>>
>>63412931
See, that was really stupid. I believe that the Bell/Williams situation this season will change fantasy handcuffing forever.

Usually people draft handcuffs just hoping they do well if their stud gets hurt. This was a case of a handcuff literally getting 2 starts in the season and showing that he would be a stud if Bell went down, which amazingly is just what happened

Anyone who owned Bell who didn't either draft Williams, dropped him, or didn't try to trade for him after his 4 weeks of doing nothing on someone's bench is a fucking idiot.
>>
>>63412978
>I believe that the Bell/Williams situation this season will change fantasy handcuffing forever.
>Goes on to explain how this was a unique scenario where acquiring the handcuff was supremely optimal

I will agree with you that in the case of 1st-round worthy RBs you should get the handcuff, given how fucked you usually are if he goes down.
>>
>>63412901
Matt Ryan is my backup for Palmer who is in a bye.
I was thinking of picking up Cutler but he always gets hurt.
Tannehill, Fitz, Tyrod, Winston, and Cutty are the only ones worth noting.
Figured I'd take a chance on Matt not turning the ball over three times against SF.
>>63412978
I didn't want to take the L though, I had to drop him. How could I have known Bell would be ded?

10 man league, standard scoring.

Start 2 of these 3 at RB:

Jeremy Langford, Danny Woodhead, TJ Yeldon.

Tempted to do Woodhead/Langford cause both the defenses are awful but Yeldon also ran over the Bills 2 weeks ago and it cost me my game, don't want to get burned again. Advice /sp/?
>>
>>63413028
Who's your flex? Is he better than all those options?
>>
>>63413019
I think this season as a whole with the injuries to Charles, Forte, Bell and Foster, with Charcandrick West and Deangelo Williams rising to prominence and even Langford possibly being good for a few weeks will show to people that having your stud's handcuff and leaving them on your roster at all times is smart to do.
>>
>>63413026
>How could I have known Bell would be ded?

You don't "know" you guy will die, you have the handcuff just in case they do and find other players to drop besides them

Maybe in the future you will always try to draft and keep your guy's handcuff if he actually shows skill from now on :^)
>>
>>63413043

Martavis Bryant in my flex, my WR1 and 2 are Julio Jones and Antonio Brown so they're both locked in.

Somebody in my league dropped the Panthers, I guess since they play Green Bay this week and they're buying the hype.

I have Jets, who are decent, and they have a decent matchup this week against the Jags.... but I honestly think the Jets are a bit overrated, and the Panthers might be the best defense outside of Denver. I also think there's a chance they straight buttfuck Green Bay tomorrow just like Denver did.

Should I make the move? Jets for Panthers

12 team, standard.

>has sent offer of gronkowski for deangelo williams (my other TEs are gillmore and fleener, top lel)
>everyone saying how i should accept immediately
>feel like being able to start those 3 RBs every week is a good advantage to have

I know that Gronkowski is basically like a WR1, but I don't feel like I have the RB depth to trade Williams away. I even used my waiver on Tevin Coleman this week because the guy has Devonta Freeman and I figured getting his handcuff could add some extra value to the deal and tried to get Diggs but it wasn't happening.

Any thoughts?

I see no reason why you would do this unless you are desperate to get into playoffs with your shit record, you could literally trade gronk for a RB1 and token WR2/RB2

You do have a shit at RB though
>>
>>63413190
Dude. Are you serious? I offered Leveon Bell for Gronk str8 up and got declined. I fucking wish the guy in my league would give me Gronk for a 30 year old back.
>>
>>63413190

I'd love to have Williams, but I say make the trade cause your TEs suck even worse than your RBs, and it's Gronk. Gore has a cake schedule down the stretch, and hang on to Coleman. 99.9% chance Freeman goes down before the year ends.

Kamar Aiken will get SSS's targets
Robert Woods will take over for Percy Harvin
Marquess Wilson will start over Eddie Royal this week.
Best upside here. Others are just dart throw WR3/4/5s
>>
>>63413477
Do I trigger Kamar or see if I can pick him up next week?

Or do I just take woods and say fuck it.

Honest toss up at this point, but narrowed to those two.
>>
>>63413491
If you've got a squad to play for this week and can take Kamar on a bye, I'd do that.
>>

Yea, I pretty much agree with >>63413477

Also, Tyler Locketts role is increasing, and Royal will have value when he's healthy, but for now it's gotta be Aiken all the way imo.

And yea, just can afford to take him on his bye this week. I honestly kinda like Austin cause I think Vikings will key really hard on Gurley and open up a few deep shots. Just gotta hit one.

>>
>>63413547

I'd say he's just gonna play LaFell (I would), and you're gonna need Dion Lewis to take all the Patriots points and have ODB go off again to win.

Tough call on Colston. It does kinda seem like Brees has been let down by Cooks and Coleman so he's turning to the old reliables in Colston and Watson, but idk how long it'll last at a high or consistent level. I wouldn't put much stock in it with Colston desu, that one TD he had looked like a play you see happen when a D-1 superpower plays a D-2 school at the start of the season. Absolutely no defense. And you've already got Watson. Aiken's not likely too last long on the waivers if you wait til next week on him.

5-3, 10 team league. Back in 4th because but lead the league in scoring. I picked up Davis hoping to strike gold going into the playoffs
>>
>>63413759

I think it'd be worth cutting Colston, Garçon, or Marvin Jones for Aiken. At face value I'd go Colston, but I'd wanna take into account the remaining schedule and who has the best potential matchups down the road before making a call.
>>
>>63413815
Damn man, that's pretty solid. Kinda surprsied you're in 4th at 5-3.

>>63413838

>>
>>63413848

Garçon see the most targets. I know he's around 8. Jones is around 6. Idk about Colston, but I'd say he's easily lower than both, maybe 4-5.

>>63413786
>>63413874

I feel you man. I've got an even more stacked team, leading in points... And I'm 4-4 with a real shot at not making the playoffs cause I still have all the top teams left on my schedule (only top 4 out of 12 make playoffs).

Gonna be make or break on a few of these matchups down the stretch. Just fuckin unbelievably bad breaks on matchups so far though. Every week I catch some bullshit.

Last week I scored more points than anybody had scored all year... Except for the guy I was playing last week, who beat me by picking up Alex Smith, Chiefs D, Nate Wash, and Michael Floyd to piece together his dead team.
>>
>>63413901
