>Nah, here plastic fans almost don't exist and managers get fired after a couple months if they don't win, having the same manager for more than a year is quite odd

Same here in Brazil. But this is a pretty bad thing.
Some players take down coaches for personal reasons. If I were a team director, I would probably sell those players to a second division side and keep the manager.
>>
>>63297644
If the problem is every player it's easier to replace Mourinho with someone who can do better with the same players.
>>
>>63297723
Yes, Arruabarrena was close to being sacked about 2 months ago after losing twice against River in continental cups with a stacked squad, he stayed and won the league
>>
>>63297727
>If the problem is every player it's easier to replace Mourinho with someone who can do better with the same players.

If it is the case that they are boycotting Mourinho, it is much better in the long run to sell Hazard and co. and buy a team with cheaper hungry players than giving bad apples more political power.
Not that I think it is the case, this time. Hazard did make an effort in the Liverpool game, for example.

The only player on the Chelsea team that would be hard to replace is Azpilicueta.
>>
>>63297690
Didn't get what you were saying at first.
Still, 82% votes are pro-Mourinho and it's stupid, the manager clearly lost it and everybody knows that's he's done but just out of fake "loyalty" choose the first option.
>>
>>63297777
Maybe they are not boycotting Mourinho, they are just not the players for his system. Maybe Mourinho actually pissed them off and he's in the wrong. Maybe it's not possible to sell and replace all the players (especially after this summer).

Because as much as I hate to say this, I don't think that between Mourinho and these players I would pick Mourinho, right now.
>>
>>63297777
>>63297801
Which players changed from last season? They have pretty much the same squad
>>
>>63297801

From what I've heard it's because Eva and Ivanovic were sleeping with eachother and he even kind of left his wife for her, some players took the side of Mourinho and other players took the side of Eva and Ivan over the sacking.
>>
>>63297817
Nah, if Brani was behind this he wouldn't be playing every single game when he was fit. Tho I can imagine he didn't like the constant humiliation he had to go through while he was playing.

The players were this mentally weak last season as well, it's just that back then (almost) everything went the right way, now it's going in the wrong way.

There's Powell and Ramsey in the Championship, neither are very good though, the truth is there's only really like 15 managers in the premier league that constantly get rehired because of their experience, clubs don't want to risk it all on a new manager with no experience premier league, the other 5 or so managers are brought in from top leagues in other countries then end up fucking off after they get sacked.

wasteful in the first half, much better in the second half. close man of the match behind smalling for me

he's never going to be a ronaldo or anything, but he can become a decent squad player in the future. though right now I'd probably prefer januzaj getting the minutes that lingards getting, that loan to dortmund was such a dumb decision.
>>
>>63318639
Must be. I don't know why else we've sacked him, no money spent and we sold our best players in the summer.

I thought he was doing pretty well under the circumstances.
>>
>>63318689
well it seemed like a decent idea at the time, depay was supposed to actually be good
>>
>>63308472
>>63308937
Does this mean Gerrard flopped in America?
>>
>>63318689

Loaning out Januzaj was indeed a blunder by Van Gaal and Utd.
Personally I feel like Fellaini is getting played so much because of a lack of squad depth, not just because of >muh hoofball.

I just don't understand Van Gaal's stubbornness.
He was so rational with the dutch team at the WC and with Ajax in 1995.
>>
>>63318714
well he got knocked out in the first round of the Audi 2015 MLS Cup playoffs
>>
>>63318706
it's just loaning to dortmund of all teams that bothered me. he's never going to get regular playing time over there.

>>63318724
it's weird, a lot of people expected LVG to bring attacking football to united despite conceding a few goals, but it's been totally the opposite. united have only conceded 1 goal in the last 9.5 hours of football (if you don't count middlesbroughs penalties), and that 1 goal was a rebound from a penalty. but we've only scored 2 goals in that amount of time anyway
>>
What is your teams biggest blunder of the season so far?
>>
>>63318779

Offering Colin-Kazim Richards a permanent contract.

The season.

Eriksen on the left, lamela in the middle is the best choice. Should see it with sons return

The funny thing is that he's not starting, because a player United had previously sold back to them is in such good form recently.

>>
so when is Vardy moving to Real?

Next summer, when Ronaldo is sold.
>>
>>63318848

Yeah its weird considering how boring the football they played under ferguson was most of the time.
>>
>>63318854

I'd like to see the backline get more and more reps together. That defense stronk. I'm pleasantly surpised how good Alderweirweld has been.
>>
>>63318848
Entertainment is literally the only purpose of the game for a spectator
>>
>>63318879
Great because he settled vertonghen & allowed dier to go DM as well as being decent himself
>>
>>63318848
I liked how this was brought up as an issue for Big Sam signing for >us, as if the football in the last 15 years at Sunderland has been electric.
>>
>>63318876
I didn't even mean just United fans, it seems like every club has this same thing now where you have a portion of the fan base who claim to be more concerned with 'attractive' football than results.

>>63318882
If you're watching as a neutral. If I put Sky on I want to see an exciting game, when I go watch my club I want to see them win regardless of how they do it.
>>
>>63318896
>when I go watch my club I want to see them win regardless of how they do it.
why
>>
>>63318879

He's such a big improvement on Kaboul. Quicker, works better with Vertonghen, doesn't lead mini-rebellions against Pochettino...he ticks all the boxes.
>>
>>63318902
A terrible 1-0 win is worth more points than a great, entertaining 4-4 draw

>>63318892

Still can't believe this actually ended up working.

Not giving Reveillere a new contract but giving Brown another one, signing Matthews for £2m to replace Rev and then getting someone on loan to replace Matthews.

That and still existing.

If you're not the one out on the pitch playing then entertaining football should be very important to you.
If you're only interested in results then just skip the game and check the points at the end if the week
>>
>>63319000
I didn't say I was only interested in results, I want to be there to see the team win. I just don't care how they do it, that's up to the manager to get the win however he thinks he can with the players he has.

If I don't, who will?

And anyway, watching your team play like shite and get a win through refball or a fluke deflection is one of the great joys of being a football supporter, especially if you're part of a pathetically small away following.

Well not really, Savage has just wound him up and made him say something silly.

I'm sure Terry would say that Mou has proved himself as a top manager even if was never a top player.
>>
>>63318956
Pochettino is more mature imo.

>AVB doesn't get the exact players he had at Porto: "Screw you guys, I quit! It's not my fault, you couldn't get the exact players needed to make my perfect system work!"
>Pochettino doesn't get a defensive midfielder: "Whatever, I'll just use Dier."
>>
>>63319027

If you're winning in a shit way though it suggests an element of luck and shows a lack of improvement in the team.

The ultimate goal of any team should be the win whilst playing entertaining football, that's what the players want, it's what the managers want and it's what the fans want.
>>
>>63319153

This desu. AVB is just Diet Mourinho. He gets results if you put him in charge of the richest teams, but he can't handle having limits on his transfer budget (look at the tantrums he's throwing now because Zenit couldn't get Moutinho). A club like PSG would be perfect for him.
>>
Chris Coleman getting buttfrustrated by Wenger.
>>
>>63318779
Getting two reds against West Brom

>applepie
>>
>>63319164
I'm not sure that's entirely accurate, if you go from losing to fluking a win then it at least shows a defensive improvement. You've got to concede fewer goals in order for the element of luck to get you the win.

And I agree that it's the ultimate goal, but the winning comes first before you can build on it to win with style. And my complaining isn't really about clubs like United so much, because they have the resources there to get to the top. It's clubs where just getting the points is a big step, but the instant that starts happening you have fans who say, 'oh we won but why didn't we play like peak barca'.
>>
>>63319181

Yeah its not like he saved Academica from relegation and won the treble with Porto, going undefeated in the league.

>>63319235

>>
>>63319216

Fair enough if you're talking about a small side whose primary aim is survival at all costs, Pulis is the master of this, and as we have seen at Stoke, the fans eventually expect progression once this first aim been achieved.

As for United, you can surely understand their frustration when they see the amount of money which has been invested yet there has been no progression.
>>
>>63319235
Derby for sure
Not sure about who else though
>>
>>63319248
To an extent, they're still in touch with the top sides playing as they are though.

I can completely understand that LVG must think that switching play style now would be a massive gamble in terms of keeping hold of that top four slot and not falling behind City and Arsenal.
