Dallas Stars were 9-2 and the leafs were 1-7 and they just beat the Dallas Stars. Not just beat but almost raped/destroy them. Everyone got a point basically. They helped developed the career of the younger NHL guys (Rielly, Kadri, etc).
Also them being 9-2 meant that they were theoretically better than the Canucks and therefore by beating the best team in the league at the time before they faced us we have now proved that we are better than any team below them including the canucks.
The leafs may not win this year, but this win proved they are better than the teams that do.

I would humbly suggest my beloved Red Wings go on the MEME TIER; their not quite DOO-DOO, and they cant make the NOTHING SPECIAL TIER with the recent performance, but they do meme on good teams from time to time.

We might have different definitions of the tiers, because I would put the red wings in the nothing special-tier.
In a definition och meme tier and nothing special-tier I'd emphasize how interesting/laughable they are, rather than how good they are
I can imagine that they aren't interesting if you're not a fan of them now that they are playing the way they do. The way they play isn't meme, it has just been bad. The players aren't all that meme either t b h, even if there are a couple of pretty decent memes about some of them.
