>Younger, traditional style QBs like Tannehill and Luck have had rough losing seasons and are trending down.
>Old, tradional style QBs like Pey Pey and Brady are fossils pushing 40.
>Meme QBs like Russlel and $cam are praised in the media and are constantly talked about as the next great rivalry.

How do you feel about the rise of meme QBs?
Will this be the start of a trend for the next few decades in the NFL?
>>
>>65031283
>"traditional" QBs need o-lines because they're literally o-line babbies
>"traditional" QBs cant make any plays unless they have hall of fame wide receivers
>Meme QBs can buy themselves time and make plays with their feet even with horrific receivers

Aside from Brady every other """"""great"""""" QB's success can be traced back to the o-line and their GOAT receivers
>>
>>65031283
Cam and Wilson are both good and deserving of praise. Tannehill sucks, and Luck just had a down year. Luck will be the top QB in the league in 2 years
>>
If you have a problem with it then you should have played QB and made it to the NFL. There was no white QB in cams draft class that you would pick over him in hindsight. They just don't make good white QB's anymore for some reason, so if you want to win a championship your gonna need the best meme QB you can find.
>>
>>65031327
>Aside from Brady
You mean especially Brady.
Nigger plays like a scared bitch when people are pressuring him.
>>
Wilson is damn good and i see him getting at least 1 more ring. Rodgers has been more like a meme qb this year.

He didn't even get sacked last game with supposedly and """""""elite"""""" defense. He was hurried 5 times.
>>
>>65031283
If they want sustain there careers both Newton and Wilson will have to switch to a more traditional style eventually.

Also Smith is a pretty good young traditional QB.
>>
>>65031283
Luck isn't really a traditional pocket passed type of QB. There is still Flacco and Rodgers who is just over 30 and Dalton and Cousins who are even younger, all of them had good seasons.
Why does everyone on /sp/ hate scramblers anyway? I understand shitting on Kaep who can't throw two completions in a row to save his life, but there are also guys like Tyrod who is both a fast mofo and a good passer. Are those just faggots from /pol/ pushing their white powah agenda?

I agree that he has been great this year, but he did used to struggle
>>
>>65031637
brady didn't get sacked once last game you fucking mongoloid. He literally faced 0 pressure.

Sack Brady 3 times over the course of a game and he will play terrible the WHOLE game.
>>
>>65031526

Did you watch the game? Edelman had 10 catches on 16 targets. Other than Gronk, who was like 4/7, Nobody else had more than 4 total targets. The game plan was to isolate edelman and use quick AF passes. The TV announcers were even timing and commenting saying his release time was less than 2 seconds. 2 SECONDS NIGGER. I couldn't even come that fast, even if I tried. So considering edelman was roughly half of Brady's attempts, he was zinging it out to him in the flats and over the middle at the sticks moving the chains. The patriots full knew they aren't capable of blocking for long time, so they get the ball out fast. Brady is not a fucking o-line baby you retard, the patriots are just smart enough to adjust their game to quick high percentage passes that move the sticks and keep drives alive. Its what peypey and other good qb's do. Dissect defenses, take what they give you, exploit individual personnel mismatches.

Confirmed for retard.
>>
>>65031477

He only plays like a scared bitch when he has to do anything other than pass, like he's afraid to tackle.
>>
>>65031283
Football is changing just like it always has. The running game used to be the centerpiece of an offense, nowadays most teams don't even have a fullback. Possession and field position meant more. Then came the west coast offense. Then everyone had a west coast offense. Rules changed to protect QBs and receivers. A franchise QB who is at least in the "hurr durr elite or nah" conversation is now more or less a prerequisite to success. Why pump money into a secondary full of killers when the rules literally restrict them from doing their jobs?

QBs sell tickets and the rules have changed to cater to them. Smart franchises are finding ways to use that to their advantage.
>>
>>65031710

>Last year SB
>Seattle pass rush Bennet/Irvin sacked him couple times and hurried him often
>Brady wasn't having the best game but hung in there
>4th quarter leads them on 2 long TD drives in the clutch

I'd still rather have Brady as my QB over anyone. You gotta give the other defenses credit in the playoffs for being good enough to get to the highest stage (denver D this year pretty fucking great) so if Brady gets sacked twice...he's still going to put some points on the board and always keep it close and most of the time win. He never let's his team down in any game, when he is under fucktons of pressure it affects him, but that's the same for literally any pocket passer dude. He just makes up for it by quick release, and understanding defenses pre snap so he can get the ball out of there fast before he gets sacked. He doesnt take sacks cause he stands in there too long. He also moves around the pocket well, even though he's not a fast guy or even a great athlete he senses pressure and steps up and around to make throws. Especially last year or 2 he has actually improved his pocket mobility, everyone has been noticing and talking about how he's worked on that aspect of his game. Even more crazy to think how he's adding mobility at the age of 37 to his game...but keep on hating kid

>They just don't make good white QB's anymore for some reason,
They certainly make them, the problem is the college recruiters are flooding the college league with black QBs because a fast running back who can occasionally make a deep pass is better than a pocket passer. It's the current recipe for easily improving a college season record.

That and most college coaches are leading the nation in consumption of cuckold porn. These white coaches probably convince their black qbs to fuck their wives while they watch.

Big Ben had Hines Ward, arguably a HoFer. Palmer is garbage. Manning had Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne in their primes. Romo has Dez Bryant and had Terrell Owens. Stafford has Megatron. Rodgers had Donald Driver who isn't really a HoFer but was very, very good and consistent. Cam hasn't had any, though he hasn't been around that long but Greg Olsen is emerging as a top tier player. Wilson doesn't have any household name WR's but they're solid, though Lynch was the focal point of the team for a while until this season.

So your point is pretty non-existent. Also, Brady only really had one year with Moss since he got hurt in '08 and Randy was starting to really decline after that year.

People see TB and PM and think, why aren't all these other QBs like that? Rather these two are freaks, above and beyond normal. Normal is the shit you see from guys like Luck and Stafford and Rodgers this year. Meme QBs will come and go because they do stand out from normal for a while before defenses accommodate (like they did with the wildcat).

QB play is going to drop once TB and PM go, but it'll reset everyone's idea about QBs - which will be better for the rest of the current guys
>>
>>65042961
But there were always 2/3 GOAT passers per decade

We had Montana, Marino and Elway in the 80s, Favre and Young in the 90s, Brady and Peyton in the 00s (and Brees to a lesser extent). And in the 10s? The best QBs have still been old men Brady and Peyton with Rodgers the only new one who can hope to reach the level of aforementioned QBs
