Draft Champions is fun, they added h2h against friends in an update. That was the most unlaziest thing EA has ever done for Madden. They also added another mode into it where you play a 6 game season. The rest of the game modes are shit though. It wasn't even cut content this is shit they generally worked on and patched into the game.
Improve Draft Champions even more in 17 and i'll be sold. Maybe they actually are starting to care.

I've avoided new Maddens for the past 4 years until this year. Finally picked up a new one with Madden 16.
I'm not sure how I'll feel once the next game begins, and my current team is worthless, but I've done quite well for myself without buying a single pack.
91 overall team, elite players at each potition, including elite backups... with only 1 farm account to go back through the Journey II with, and for a 2nd crack at the coin up.
From what I've learned, it was a lot easier this year to grind for a good team. It's been addicting to build my team, hunting the Auction House.
I've been tempted to buy some packs, but I've refrained.

Anyway, draft champions is pretty fun. Most frustrating aspect about this game is I just started MUT. I can see earning in-game currency (via: winning SBs in Franchise Mode, having the most profitable franchise, breaking records on the most difficult settings, normal everyday playing, etc.) and spending it on cards. I've been using those 4 plays plus curl flats, slants, and that one play out of shotgun that has double posts with the TE running an out for the last decade and I have lost like 7 games total. I quit madden 2 years ago because of this.
I'm confused by the scouting in franchise mode. There are some attributes that cost 500 pts to reveal but even after playing multiple seasons, I can only seem to amass just under 400 pts, even after purchasing the scouting option.

I only buy a sports game maybe once every 5 years. The league doesn't really change that much season to season and you can make all the roster moves/player updates yourself. That's the old Madden where scouting is stupid and broken. In 16, you learn their potential instead of stats and it is much cheaper. You are punished for not using your points. So instead of learning everything about one guy and having no back up, you can learn a lot of things about a lot of people. I just wish you could go more in depth as the draft got closer but not a huge complaint. It is much better in 16 than 15 or 25 where you had enough points for one person.
This year's Madden was the first definite step up since 2011. I enjoyed it.

And the fucked up thing is, the game isn't even worth the initial $60 because of how lazy it is. CPU can be a dick and the only time it's actually fair to play is against another human. Whatever player you control can not make a pass inside without your teammate being in the post completely alone or it's a guaranteed turnover every time, you can miss shots on perfect release, you easily get stuck in animations on both sides of the floor, it's a mess.
The game really is a 6/10. Pretty as fuck, but shallow and the internet still fucking sucks.

Basically in 16 you spend 5 points to find out their best attribute, then 10 to find their 2nd best, then 15 to find their 3rd best. They give you letter grades (IE B+ Impact Blocking, B Pass Block, B Toughness) and then after you do that it gives you a general idea of "when" they should be drafted. SO it they're projected to be a 3rd rounder but have 2nd round talent you should take them.
I have madden 16 and play it every day. I have no idea what mut is or have i ever cared. I play online with my brother i dont understand why there needs to be 100 modes. Me and four of my bros are loving connected franchise. Scouting/drafting is much improved, the game mechanics are awesome, graphics and realism (especially if you DL that updated likeness package) are off the charts.
