Tonight has the potential to be one of the sessions of the tournament, with the six players in action sharing 9 world titles between them. Snackpot & Mensur Suljovic get the session started, and with these two at opposite ends of the ‘getting into a rhythm’ scale (as well as the ‘enjoyment of kebab’ scale) this could be an intriguing encounter. In the first match of the day, we saw a stormer of a last 32 tie with Jelle Klaasen being the one to take on Taylel tomorrow night as Merv threw away a one set lead to lose 4-2. However, Paedo Suarez's incompetent doubling will not worry Caravan Man too much.
Then, Blubber demonstrated that he CAN actually dominate a game from start to finish as Benito van de Pas was dispatched 4-0 by the St. Helens youngster. It was a performance that demonstrated Lard Lad's scoring power but also his doubling inconsistencies: he'll have to improve the finishing if he wants to get any further in the tournament.
Finally, Jamie Caven showed his big stage jobbing qualities as he averaged under 90 to lose 4-1 to the Machine despite taking out 127 to tie the match up. Once again for Jobba, his ineptitude on doubles shows why he will always be floating around the bottom half of the top 32 and never break into the big time.
