Have a thing for hairy guys, I can't explain it. I don't go for guys with lots of body hair intentionally (you usually can't see it), but it's a pleasant surprise. I prefer that the back isn't super hairy but hair everywhere else is fine by me so long as you have good hygiene (ideally 4-9).

Trimmed is nice because I don't get pubes in my teeth after a good oral session, I don't mind unshaved, and would certainly prefer that over shaved (ideally 3-8).

I guess it all comes down to how hairy you are naturally? Like, if you're a giant iranian sasquantch then you should probably trim just to keep everything contained, but for normal dudes like whatever, you keep it natural.
The only exception being if your pubes are longer then your dick, do yourself a favor dude, trim that shit.

I felt the same way but 2 experiences turned me off completely from any shaving. The first was I absolutely hate shaving myself, my god the itchiness absolutely kills and the second, having sex with a girl who was freshly shaved with her prickly hairs scratching me felt awful I hated sex I wanted to stop it felt awful. I got used to looking at a full bush and honestly prefer it now

I'm quite hairy and very self conscious about it because i hear all the time that i'm too hairy and body hairs are disgustings, even here on /soc/ many womens don't like it so it made myself a bit sad....

Personally, I'm basically of the opinion that hairy=manly and smooth=feminine, so I essentially like cavemen, and at the same time can't stand having any hair anywhere on my body other than my head.
Having said that, the length, thickness, straightness, coarseness and even color of the hair matters. If you have an olympian physique and you're basically a bleached blonde, you might actually be better off with the classic, basically hairless bodybuilder look.
But yeah, for me it's about texture more than image (I can't see shit once I take my glasses off anyway). The contrast between my bare skin and his roughness makes me feel so much girlier and sexier, and the feeling when my papa bear wraps his hairy arms around me or I rest my face on his hairy chest when we cuddle, feels so amazing to me, it literally gets me hot.
Sure, there are downsides. Fellatio is the obvious one. Also, the best sex I ever had was with a guy with such coarse pubes that it was basically like being spanked with a wire brush with each thrust, my ass was literally bright red from inflammation (totally worth it though).

I'm pretty hairy, especially on the arms and legs. My back isn't very hairy at all, but I've got a decent amount of hair on my shoulders. How do people feel about that? I personally find it disgusting, which is why I tend to shave it (with plans to wax it when I find the time).

I actually find freshly shaved is nice, but there's a wierd period 3 or 4 days after shaving thats extra prickly before to gets long enough to be soft again.
Body hair on men is actually linked with higher estrogens. That explains why men get hairy as they age despite test levels being highest during youth, as androgen levels drop and estrogen levels rise with age.

0 everywhere below the eyebrows is the dream, but I'm not really all that fussed about a 1-3 on the armpits/axe wound.
Really long untamed pubes/pits and any straggly body hairs on the torso or face can be a deal breaker for me if they're prominent enough. An arse beard is completely out of the question also.
