I'm female and I've tried a few, there are no good dating websites, then least worse one is okcupid.
Tinder is better than websites, it's not just for hookups and I think it has the highest percentage of decent looking people (both male and female)

Overall, OKCupid and Tinder. Tinder's app is complete crap if you are not an iPhonie though.
I am doing OK on OneGoodCrush but that's not for everyone.
> which are the botnets
Tinder, FriendFinder, Bumble
> 170 dudes to 1 girl craigslist types.
All of them, even the lesbian ones.
> which are more popular with females?
Meh. OKCupid is least bad, but it's not like there's a hive mind and some secret cache of us.

Right Stuff Dating?
> not looking for 1 night stands
Stay off Grindr, and tread carefully on Tinder.
> or obese lady with 2 kids.
Stay off POF.

My problem with tinder isn't getting matched, but engaging in a conversation with someone i can't see anything in common with. That and asking out those that i chat with.
It just feels ineffective.

It doesn't really matters how you ask someone out, a simple "want to grab a beer/coffee sometime?" is enough, really. What will make them say yes or no is how much they find you cute, not how you ask (as long as you don't say anything absurd, of course). I mean, every girl is different but that's what I did, anyway.
Also, personally I've said no to everyone who wanted to have our first meeting at night and/or in places that I didn't know well, or in complicated things like parties and clubs and whatnot.
