Thus, you appointed yourself as a teacher who handles fabrics on the sides. You're slowly gathering both school materials as well as raiding the now-abandoned Jo-Anns adjacent to the camp. Every day, you teach the children English, Mathematics, and History lessons...then the real excitement happens after lunch. You start off with music lessons, and everyone sings and uses whatever resources possible to create instrumental noise. Then you delve into art class. Slowly as you gather more materials, you're able to make curtains, clothing, rugs, banners, wall art, camouflage suits, and more, on top of showing others how to do the same.
The best part of it all is that you're able to teach others to enjoy your passion. You are an artist, and although you're useless in a fight; you are essential to keeping the morale up, to ensuring that everyone is wearing warm, comfortable clothing, to helping educate the youth, and to crafting essential household items. With your arrival, the colony is beginning to feel like a town-- a modern home for everyone, again.
Even though it's in the worst of situations, you know that this moment is the real test of your ability, and your reason for being alive.

You're a versatile, quiet soul who grew up on the rough side of life. The construction business ended up being where you spent most of your working life, however you took great pleasure in teaching dance classes in your spare time. When the attacks happened, you were one of the few initial survivors to band together and became a founding member of the colony. You led the others to a rural, abandoned construction site on the outskirts of town, and thus the camp was born. It had multiple unfinished Suburban homes, surrounded by a fence, and was left deserted after a lack of city funding.
It was a slow and painful process, involving an unsettling amount of bloodshed on top of the near constant work you were forced to do to ensure the team's survival. However eventually your tiny settlement had erected a wall, and with that you were able to work hard on making shelters. With the arrival of more and more people by the day, the camp grew. Extraordinary levels of teamwork coupled with your construction abilities led you, the Carpenters, and other able bodied men to the sturdy building of numerous cabins, farmhouses, warehouses, stores, and a reinforced wall that could withstand hoardes of Zombies.
Your work seems never-ending, but everyone knows that you're the reason for this construction site turning into their ever-expanding, almost impenetrable town that was essential to their survival.

Prior to the attacks, you were simply working an unsatisfying plumbing job, slowly saving up to earn yourself tuition money for college. When news got out of the attacks, you viciously fought to survive, beating zombies to death with an old pipe.
You arrived at the camp to find inadequate sewage and helped create plumbing lines as well as a water filtration system so that people would stop getting sick from drinking risky water when times got tough.
