My parents moved to north georgia from kennesaw after I (last kid) moved out for school. I go to tech so I live in midtown most of the year but I'm trapped here this summer and holy shit is it awful. I'm a sophomore physics major. Computer engineering is one of the more respectable majors here, much better than the innumerable cs drones.
My biggest piece of advice is to not fall into the enormous panic people put themselves into at tech, especially around finals. Students here, even ones that have been here for years, flip their shit every time they have a test and spend days obsessively studying non-stop with adderall, coffee, and no sleep, stressing out to the point that they fuck themselves over more than the kids barely studying at all. If you study a few hours a week for all your classes, sleep a good bit, and GO TO CLASS, you'll be way better off.
Other than that, I'm sure you'll be fine. The campus is great, the students are overall pretty cool, and Atlanta is a fun place. Hopefully I'll see you around sometime anon.
