I've been tipped before, but no, I've never charged for my readings. Card readings around here are around $10 to $25, and scrying is $40 to $60 per session. It's simply not profitable unless you have a huge customer base, but you sacrifice quality if you do a lot. The only profitable readings are Opening of the Key spreads, which are two-session readings; you can charge somewhere between $300 and $600, depending on how popular you are. The closest I've come to charging is when my good friend got cancer, and I did readings for anyone willing to pray or perform healing works for her. I'm considering offering a destitute girl the opportunity to sell my readings so she can keep her dignity as well, but I have no intention to make a profit off that.
