Lately I've been feeling awful about myself while on F-List. I've been feeling emasculated, ya know, seeing all those big muscular huge cocked studs and the girls who prefer them to other kind of people.
Because of that I felt like taking a time off from the website and rping in general. I worked through some personal issues, and just a while ago I found out I may be rping for all the wrong reasons, to overcompensate for what I can't have irl. And this has meant I've taking rping too seriously, attaching to my partners, and feeling my worth through my own projections.
If I wanted to rp as a hobby... Well, tabletop rpgs are good enough of a hobby. If I wanted to create characters I would just join a game and lay back with some epic adventures. Because smut is not rp for me - it's something that always comes with an emotional toll, as I've experienced in the past.
So I think I should just stop altogether from playing, and I'm willing to do it. Thoughts?

Stopping the kind of play that you've recognized as unhealthy's not a bad idea. Taking a fresh start and actively trying out erp for its own sake while being mindful of the pitfalls also could turn out nicely, now that you know where you're tripping yourself up.
But in the end if just being around the dynamic of 'studly manhunks and big-titty women getting it on' upsets you, well, you'll have a hard time ignoring it here.

That's the issue. Sex always comes with an emotional toll for me. No matter if simulated or real, that's how I am. And if I don't play for what I'm looking to overcompensate for (affection and caring is what I'm the most interested for), there is truly little incentive, as that would rule out almost all kind of sexual stuff I want (vanilla, mind you). As for the "rp" part of "erp"? Tabletop rpgs do the job rather nicely and I don't get attached to anyone.

This was just the initial sentiment, but it became a process about introspecting and finding what was wrong until I found the actual issue: I'm rping for the wrong reasons, and the right one (to just have it as a hobby) is a reason I cannot have.

This fits F-List perfectly. I have a bunch of partners that I've kept around for such a long time that I don't really have to worry about the OOC awkwardness of some prospective partners anymore, but so many new approaches turn into this.
For instance, one new partner wanted me to fuck her senseless, disappeared during the act, and now constantly messages me with "Hey" when she's on or some weird furry uguu speak ("muuu") OOC with nervous emotes. She still wants it, I can tell, but I don't like poofers and she's too awkward to come out with what she wants.
Another partner though is an absolute delight to RP and chat with, so that makes up for it. We come up with all sorts of ideas for eachother, sometimes spiraling out of control but it's always amazing and sometimes hilarious. We mesh so well together on multiple characters each.

It's not sexy, there's nothing interesting about it, it's got no real hook, and you seem like you've got a lot of animosity towards most of what people are looking for.
You mention sex and drugs, but then you go on about how this isn't a profile for the kind of thing that F-listers are going to want. Ironically, the first impression I get is that you'll either say you're not for "porno" themes but do them anyway, or go too "realistic" despite the fact that most people in such schools will have sex at the drop of a hat even in real life. I also wonder why anyone would want to set something in western Virginia.
The main problem I see is two fold. The first is that you seem to want "realism", which I'm not saying you need to be completely weeaboo green haired delinquent swordsmen or anything, but completely mundane situations aren't really that eye catching or intriguing. The second is that you say you want characters to explore your setting, but you haven't given them enough setting to explore. You've created a generic private academy, but really told nothing about it. No rumours to explore, nothing about the town or staff, no hidden secrets. Nothing for characters to get wrapped up in. Nothing even about the town. Sure, it's in bumfuck nowhere, but college towns tend to cater to a collegiate lifestyle. You have to give people places to go before they can choose to explore.
A lot of us are originally from /tg/, and I don't know if you are or not, but it might be worth grabbing some /tg/ setting books and using that kind of thing to flesh out your school. Tell us about the locations, clubs, neat places on campus, students, staff, the places around town.
Otherwise the people you play with are just going to sit there asking "so what is there to do?" or "does this place have an XYZ?"

Oh, it's also hard to figure out what you even want. You don't have a gender for your profile, you have no characters for the setting. You talk about how this isn't a porno, but of course this being F-list you have a kinklist. But none of it really even tells what you want. Like, are you going to play dudes? Are you going to play chicks? I mean, you have Trans characters in the Maybe list with something about how kids are mean and will tease you for being different. Does that mean you're looking for bullying scenarios, or is that just your excuse hoping no trans characters will want to play with you? If they do play with you, is bullying a requirement because that's "totally realistic"?
And what exactly IS realistic? What counts as "outside the realm of real world possibilities" to you? I mean, agree with her or not a chick did recently go through college carrying a mattress. And not-recently the Prime Minister of a first world nation stuck his dick in a dead pig. Soggy biscuit is a real thing. "Realistic" tends to be used to mean "mundane, average, boring" by a lot of people, whether they intend it that way or not.
I mean, you've got some dark kinks on your Maybe list. Could I play a serial killer? Could I be the victim of a serial killer?
You need to give more information. It's absolutely critical for a set up like this.
