Why do people have picture threads without some way to establish that the picture is them, was taken recently, and is for /soc/?
Timestamps can be photoshopped so what are some ideas on what kind of pose or object should be in pictures to show that the picture is a) them b) recent c) for /soc/

Sharpies aren't ubiquitous enough.
And they would look-stupid/feel-embarrassed doing those things.
I'm thinking... they take a picture of them making an "S" ( for /Soc/ ) for their first pic so we get that the pictures are a) them b) recently-taken and c) for /soc/
We may have to change this to an "OC" not for original content but for the next letters of /soc/ once people outside of /soc/ start making S's as it might become a meme.

Lastly, if we know that a hot pic is the person that's posting it and that it's a recently taken pic and they're taking it for /soc/ then people are more likely to spend the effort to try to get in contact with them or whatever.
