Welcome to the new /shut/ network. After a lot of apprehension and drama we have decided to re-invent some of what this group represents. We have reformed the Discord in attempt to get back to basics and circumvent some of the erosion that has happened within the administration teams.
I’ve seen an abundance of complaints about people feeling not welcoming or overwhelmed when they join the present communities and this new Discord is an attempt to mitigate all the bullshit that has happened within the community. Ideally this community will be a lot more closely knit (whilst still inviting other people in) with less of an emphasis on what your position in life is: no more shitty elitism regarding who is “normie” or not. We are also employing a more lax moderation method as we feel a lot of the previous administrators (Big Boss, Boots are too uptight and would often allow their own biases to guide decision making).
Basically, fuck all the serious melodrama that comes with this sort of thing: let’s play vidya together, discuss anime, movies and music, share art and just generally shitpost on the internet.
