If you limit fats, decrease portion sizes and just make sure you're expending more energy than you're taking in the weight will come off. My tip is, if you struggle cutting portion sizes, make a vegetable soup at home from vegetables that you like (omitting potatoes) and freeze it for whenever you get hungry. Sugar and sodium are the worst - they're in EVERYTHING and in larger quantities in "cheaper" foods. I'm on 1000 calories a day for the next 12 months and I miss the occasional chocolate, but I could really stand to lose about 10kgs anyway.
