Haven't posted in a while, sorry! Mostly drinking the same shit but I recently got some beers from my sister in Texas.

Hoo boy, this is tasty. I actually enjoy it much more than the local hoppy reds/red IPAs. Really nice balance between the caramel malt and the Mosaic hops. Super tasty and crushable.

Sorry for the shitty glass. :^)

Back at it again with another Texas beer. This one is a standard IPA but I liked the other one better. Kind of weird hop flavors going on, getting kind of a cantaloupe/candied orange flavor from it. Hides the ABV very well and the pop top tab is pretty cool.

I'd imagine after drinking two of three of these that I would be sitting on an inner-city stoop somewhere saying "Oraaaaaaaaaale!" with the rest of the cholo-types.

Damn tasty! I'd take this over Cantillon's Gueuze any day of the week!

Both of those sounds pretty dang good, my friend. Will excuse you for your choice in glassware today... lol

Eh, fuck it. It's my weekend and I don't work tomorrow. It was super cold when I poured it. Got way better when it warmed up. Heavy on the vanilla, oaky, with a moderate amount of chocolate. Pretty boozy tasting too but it's pretty good!

>>23868183
Fiiiiine, how's this for proper glassware?

>>23868211
Heard that's some good stuff, though not on par with the more notable BA stouts w/ vanilla. Still, envious as Avery doesn't distribute to Indiana. :(

And yesssss, now we're talking on that proper glassware. lol
>>
>>23868183
I also forgot but did you get the job as the delivery guy for that brewery?
>>
>>23868228
Good memory you got there. But, unfortunately, I did not. When I applied to work for them the first time, it was for a cellarperson position and, long story short, didnt get that. However, for the delivery driver position, they invited me for an interview. During the process, all three owners of the brewery were there and one of the questions they asked me was, "What's your work goal in life?" (it was something like that) I told them that my goal is to work in the production side of a brewery, although I know it would take a long time for something like that and I would gladly take anything at a brewery that would get my foot in the door. They seemed to like me, but ended up not giving me the job.

I mentioned the first time I applied to them as when I finally got a response from them then, one of the owners (the guy I originally sent my application to) told me that he plans on hiring someone in the third or fourth quarter of this year. So, I have a small feeling that it might be plausible they didn't hire me for the delivery driver as they might consider me to work on the production side of the brewery. Though, I suppose that's just wishful thinking right now. hahaa

Last fresh Future Tripping I have. Sad times. ;_;

>>23868249
Aw darn, I hope you get into the production side later! You're already doing better than one of my coworkers. He applied three or four times before he even got an interview, so it can definitely be worse!

Avery is pretty weird. Some of their barrel aged stuff is top tier (Uncle Jacob's, PumpKYn) but other times it's just average and seems like a waste of a barrel. I can't wait for their newer barrel aged stout release, the description reminded me a lot of Xocoveza Charred, only better and aged longer!

>>23869822
It was pretty good. They have a pretty wide distribution area on the west coast, so you should be able to find it easily! And yeah, the ABV on the other one is 7.8, wasn't bad at all.
>>
>>23870355
Here in Norway it's really hard to get any extraordinary sort of drinks. I have to go to one of the few high-end hotels and pay lots of money for a bottle :/
>>
>>23870379
Oh geez, that doesn't sound like any fun! At least you're in Norway instead of Commiefornia!

>>
>>23870355
Thanks for the kind words, man. Hopefully it pans out well, or at least I find something good here soon.

Damn, you know what that Avery beer is called? Xocoveza Charred was awesome (batch 3, not batch 7). Can't imagine how amazing something like that would taste aging longer in a bourbon barrel.
>>
Everclear.

All the IPAs in this thread lol. I cant standem. Much more into the sweeter, maltier and yeastier side of life. Only drinking coffee now but after work I have a bottle of duvel, la fin du monde or a sixer of people porter. Not sure what I am in the mood for. Any suggestions?

Have you had an English IPA before? Typically, those are more heavy on the malt side, so it's plausible you might like 'em. Also, go with the Duvel.

hey <3
its been a while since i posted, i came home from school and got incredibly sick for 2 weeks and it sucked dick
so i havent been able to have pbr :(

hope everyone here is doing well <3
>>
No pics but drinking some landshark. Goes down smooth.
>>
>>23872809
That sucks that you were sick. Though, at least it's Summer now, so you've got plenty of time to kick back and chill. Hopefully you're feeling much better now! :3
>>
>>23872826
yesss. true that. i do feel a lot better, my stomach was messed up for a while and i ended up almost needing a blood transfusion, got a cat scan though and found out i have mild lumbar scoliosis but its probably almost nothing

chilling is what ill do
and cleaning pools and fish ponds for a summer living :o
>>
>>23872957
Oh shit! Sounds more serious than I thought it was. How is that different than 'regular' scoliosis? Glad to hear you're good now.

Cleaning fish ponds? That's some zen-type shit right there.
>>
>>23872809
see >>23872600
and yeah, stomach issues are a bitch. usually I smoke enough weed for them not to bother me most of the time, but sometimes I can't afford to and things suck for a while

Sipping on some Basil before bed.
>>
>>23873022
yeah, i mean i dont think i really have scoliosis and they never explained it they just handed me my discharge papers and thats one of the things listed lol. on top of that was "stomach bug or virus/anemia"
>>23873066
thats horrible. i usually dont have stomach issues but ive had them in the past. this time was bad though bc i was vomiting for several hours and once it was all blood + blood coming out my other end a few times and my friend was like, please call the hospital
i was like sure i think thats what i should do

cant imagine having problems constantly. sometimes i do but never, to that degree or pain

>>23873022
to get back to you yes lol. i think it might be zen shit. cleaning is kind of zen for me in general. id have to live away from home for a couple of months at a friends house but i think its worth it, ill earn more there than i will at any other job here haha
>>
>>23873193
>blood
ok, it never got that bad for me. but some mornings I do puke my guts out, especially if I drink as much as I did tonight
>>
>>23873229
it never got that bad for me either lol. it was a first. and i looked in the waste basket and said oh fuck thats actually blood. i stared at it for a while to make sure but yeah it was. it wasnt a lot of puke but it was more than i was conjuring up for hours before that, esp considering i had nothing in my stomach anymore.
lmao the 1st time i puked from drinking too much was at a friends house, i ended up puking like, black tar. it was bad lol
how much did you drink?
>>
>>23873193
Hm....perhaps they just put that on the papers to fuck with ya?

>>23873193
As long as you're enjoying it and getting paid, no one can knock ya down.
>>
>>23873261
about 1/3 of a handle, so let's say 500ml of rum (over the course of 12 or so hours though)
>>
>>23873270
haha nahh they wouldnt do that. i can kind of see it because i always thought my hips werent symmetrical and i guess i was right lmao
>>23873272
o lord. i had a bottle of kraken my last week of the semseter, i think it was 750ml, i had like an inch left and yeah i threw up that night lol
we could be buddies when i feel like getting fucked up
>>
>>23873280
Asymmetrical hips are the best, though. lol
>>
>>23873280
as long as the hips are wide, it's good
and Kraken is extra strong, this is just Bacardi
>>
>>23873304
ha its not super asymmetrical but if i stand long enough in the mirror i notice something is different? could just be me too
i am fucking pigeon toed though. for sure

>>23873313
lmao i might have wide hips
bacardi makes me wanna vomit. even though it only has once like several years ago but. just makes me think im drinking diesel lol
>>
>>23873321
meh, it's not the greatest, but better than Cruzan, or any of the other liquors available for under $20 a handle
>>
>>23873321
and do you also have thick thighs and/or datass?
these are my favorite features, tits are overrated
>>
>>23873321
Nothing wrong with that, though (unless, of course, it in some way causes harm to your health and the like).

So, when you gonna chug some PBR? ;)
>>
>>23873337
i feel like i do yeah. i never posted body pics to /soc/ before though i prob wont either lol
>>23873325
i just miss drinking white russians. lol
>>23873344
oh my fuck. soon. i really should lol. i havent been in the mood because of my sickness + desu a social worker came in and expressed the doctor's concerns over my drinking habits (i said i drink socially and have 1-2 drinks per weekend which is really true, except when theres a party) and gave me a pamphlet for A.A. i was like wuttt.
so i felt guilty and havent really wanted to drink anything since lmao
>>
>>23873352
Wait...why would they give you a pamphlet for AA when you told them your drinking habits are more social and you don't drink every single day? Seems a bit odd.

I mean, as long as you're not getting drunk every single day or something, I don't see the problem in drinking. Ya know?
>>
>>23873379
>tfw I do get drunk every day
>>23873352
fair enough. are you in the bay area and do you enjoy drinking with fat autists?

Now Drinking: Transient's Buckley (14% Imperial 'Breakfast' Stout w/ coffee, maple syrup, and vanilla)

Thick & chewy, caramel, chocolate, vanilla, and a bit of sweetness from the maple syrup. For how big this is, the 14% doesn't come through, which is quite dangerous. Wish I didn't open this up at 5am. hahaa

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TvGPAVTYfXI
>>
>>23873379
yeah, i have no idea. i really dont. i thought they thought the problem with how messed up i was was due to drinking? maybe? i dont know. i also take anti-depressants and youre nots upposed to drink with them but i do lol. just not crazy
maybe thats why
>>23873439
no and to an extent
>>
it's gin and tonic weather and so that's what i'm drinking.

almost gone, though.
>>
>>23876669
vodka tonic now. wanted to finish the last of the Tito's before opening a new bottle.
>>
>>23875402
Ahhh, ok. Possibly that's why? Though, maybe that just means dont wash down the anti-depressants with alcohol, but you can still drink while on them?
