Race doesn't matter to me, but I would only see myself dating under 5% of black girls just because of their personality, goals and looks. I do nature macro, so there's not a ton of crossover as far as tips go other than getting a good portable flash setup. I have two speed lights and hotshoe adapters for a couple of tripods. Oh, and if you want to do nature stuff... get a heavy duty tripod for the camera. I've got a Manfrotto that weighs more than my camera bag, and I don't know if you'd want something that hardcore, but it's a good brand and they have good customer service.
These days I shoot pretty exclusively on my Pentax K20D, which is why I go all hipster elitist on basically everyone. :P
They're super rare to see out in the wild, but I've used cameras from Canon, Nikon, and even Sony... and I've never been more satisfied with a digital than with Pentax. Probably because they feel the most like film cameras, which doesn't seem to be an issue for most people.
I used to have a ton of film cameras, including a Diana F+ that was pretty awesome, but no one develops film anymore. At least not at prices I can afford.
