investopedia, you can basically search up any term and it'll give you a fairly detailed description.
Skhreli has some videos on youtube, the first 2 or 3 videos he has gives you a good basic understanding on how businesses function, which is essential if you want to actually invest in a company.
If you want to try playing around with trading i recommend paper trading. there are lots of sites that have it. it's a good place to start just doing it, might motivate you to learn more.

I'd like to just start doing stuff like this on a small scale because I used to really enjoy playing stocks in mmo's when I played them a lot and I've just never met anyone who had any knowledge of how to get into it IRL. Generally viewed it as far off and unreachable.

1. Depends on the trade strategy.
stock screener's are pretty useful tools.
but you have to input the metrics, and if you don't know what your doing with them its useless.
The SEC website is really good if you wanna do research on companies.
2. Biz is always on about the robinhood app. if you wanna actually start trading using real money you can use that. its free commission trades and no min deposit. so you can have like 20$ and mess around with that.
Has a bunch of downsides though. but eh it's free.
