Do you need recommendations for new music to check out?
Is something cool happening in your local music scene?

Get it off your chest idiot! And feel free to post pics of yourself being metal/rock'n'roll
Let's kick it off with some classic rock:
Thin Lizzy - Boys Are Back in Town

Boston - Smokin'

Deep Purple - Space Truckin'

Why these three songs? Because I was listening to classic rock radio on my way home and those three stuck in my mind. And they happen to be awesome.
Are you into black metal? Have you always wanted to check out Venom who influenced all those early bands but you couldn't handle the low production quality and rawness? Have no fear, The Melvins are here! This cover of Venom's 'In League With Satan' is faithful to the original while being slightly more approachable:

"Look out! Beware! When the full moon's high 'n' bright!"
I can't keep up with all the different sub-genres of metal and rock, so I'll just leave it like this... looking to discover some new rock or metal with melodic riffs and outbursts of double-bass drums.
I tend to like Sevendust and AX7 and am going to see Dream Theater next month... because "The Astonishing" w/ Mike Mangini on drums is so good. Also recently discovered Nothing More.
Can't really get into guttural/lawnmower vox, though. I like melodic hooks. *shrug*
