Hi /soc/, I'm practicing personology. Post a picture of someone's face (I don't care if it's yours) and I'll attempt to determine some of their personality characteristics. This image is an example of angles I'd prefer. Helps me out if you can let me know what I get right!

Soft-spoken; able to express yourself, but you use few words to do it. Somewhat generous with goods. Independent. You need a clean environment to live or work in. Highly emotional. You ask "why" questions more often. Good with structural problems. You can be very punctual in some moods, but in others, you can procrastinate. Pretty friendly. Low physical energy. Reasonably self-confident.

>>23647464
Friendly. Very analytical. Not very emotional. Idealistic. Independent. Can have difficulty expressing yourself. Very concise. Tends not to be generous with material goods. Likes to be helpful. Not super concerned with a clean environment. Good organizational abilities. Maybe somewhat impetuous. Enjoys dry wit.

>>23647468
Good organizational abilities. Independent. Friendly. Somewhat emotional. Skeptical about helping people. Concise, has difficulty with self-expression. Realistic view. Generous with goods. Can get information out of people. Asks "how" questions. Steadfast about views.

Fairly friendly. Independent. Somewhat concise, somewhat generous with goods. Pretty okay at self-expression. Asks "how" questions. Good with money. Skeptical about helping people. Enjoys dry wit. Punctuality is mood-dependent; sometimes a procrastinator. Low self-confidence, but has improved this. Doesn't need a spiffy environment to work in. Likes adventure. "Authoritative" voice.

Angle's a bit awkward, but we can work with it, so... Iffy stuff: Idealistic. Steadfast about positions and views.
>>
>>23647539
Friendly. Needs a clean environment (shows in your spiffy clothing). Highly independent, but you enjoy helping people. Very realistic. Punctual. Good at structural problems. Very concise, not generous with goods. Somewhat low self-confidence. Soft-spoken.

>>23647546
This image confirms the visual memory. Not super thrilled about adventures.

I can't tell, but I think you've got a "fighter chin", which means you'll stand by your views and are willing to argue your points.

I don't know if I'll find anything new, but...

You make acquaintances before you make friends. Emotional. Talkative, generous. Sometimes, you have trouble expressing yourself. You enjoy helping people, and you're independent. You need a clean environment. Highly analytical. Adventurous, soft-spoken.

A few "I think...": organizational skills. Procrastinator. Somewhat impetuous. Visual memory?

I'm actually looking at facial features, but we can call it a crystal ball

Highly emotional. People get to "friend" status after some evaluation. Highly analytical. Independent. High self-confidence. Steadfast about your views. Concise. Somewhat generous with goods.

This is gonna sound weird, but if you have a picture where I can see your eyebrows or your ears, that'd be dandy.

Good visual memory. Not very emotional. Independent. Talkative, but soft-spoken. Somewhat generous with goods. Good with money. 50/50 on analytical ("why" questions) and "how" questions. Punctual. Good organizational abilities. Cleanliness is somewhat important. High physical energy.

With this camera angle (it's helpful if your face is squared or level), I'm thinking...
Not quite idealistic; pessimistic. Low self-confidence, but this has been improved.
>>
>>23647576
The talkative part is the only thing that's not accurate. All in all, pretty accurate description.
>>
>>23647585
Kinda friendly. Good with structural thinking and organization. Cleanliness is "ehhh". Independent. Concise, generous with goods. Can get information out of people. Procrastinator. Tends to have views outside of the status-quo. Soft spoken. Fairly emotional. Highly analytical.

Might have a "fighter chin", not sure.

>>
>>23647625
For confidence, I look at the ratio of the length and the width of a person's face. If it's thin, that's low confidence. If it's wide and square, that's very high confidence.

With this new image, I gather:
Good at organization, fairly idealistic. I don't know if you pluck your eyebrows, but if you don't, then I also see structural thinking and a fair need for cleanliness in your environment.

Additionally, you're strong about your views. I think.
>>
>>23647628
So, like, your face is a small percentage of this image, but I'll give it a shot

You really enjoy dry wit. Somewhat soft-spoken. Skeptical about helping people, good at getting information. Strangers are acquaintances before friends. Good at organization; you need a clean environment. Adventurous. High self-confidence. I think you're idealistic. Fairly concise, pretty generous with goods. I think you have trouble expressing yourself. You might be a procrastinator, I can't really tell

Let's see it
>>
>>23647648
That's kind of ironic lol seeing as how one of my insecurities is about my boxy mannish jawline/face.
>define pluck my eyebrows lol
I don't intentionally pluck them for beauty sake or anything, but I have a bit of trichotillomania about it. I compulsively pluck my eyebrows/eyelashes when stressed. Every goddamn year around finals season I'm lucky to escape with any eyebrows at all. Shit sucks and is very hard to control.
But I am weirdly compulsive about body hair in the first place. My dad's got these big bushy wild eyebrows that drive me insane. I'm a bit of a slob in other aspects of my life, but things having to do with my body I am in constant need to be clean with.
>>
>>23647670
Very friendly. Analytical. Fairly clean. Very skeptical about helping people, but can get information out of them. Somewhat independent. A bit of a procrastinator. Realistic, but still optimistic. Dry wit isn't your thing. Somewhat talkative, though you have trouble expressing yourself. Very generous. Voice can sound somewhat authoritative. Good imagination. Low physical energy. Sequential thinker, good for researching. Not into adventure. Mildly independent. Okay at organization. Not very emotional, but somewhat steadfast about views.
>>
>>23647628

Talkative, generous. Enjoys helping people. Soft-spoken. Independent. Somewhat punctual. Asks "how" questions. Low physical energy. Realistic, pessimistic. Not very emotional. Not much for dry wit. Pretty moderate self confidence, has improved a bit. Not much for adventure.
>>
>>23647680
Hit and miss. I'm both a sequential thinker and tremendously emotional. I'm very anxious, and I'm not friendly to strangers. I love helping the people I'm close to, almost to a fault. When it comes to my personal views and beliefs, I'm the sort of person that will hold a view if I can be convinced. I don't hold any views for emotional reasons, but I don't even consider viewpoints without good support and consistent logic to be anything other than a poor opinion.
>>
>>23647680
Also, I'm a former competitive athlete and I work out every single day, so I have a great deal of physical energy.
>>
>>23647752
>>23647754

I can see where I misjudged the emotionality. Spotting physical energy is something I need to work on. Thanks for the feedback, comrade

>If it's wide and square, that's very high confidence.

So you are using testosterone levels to indicate self-confidence. Very interesting. I assume you could also judge a person based on their hand as well?
>>
>>23647789
If you showed me a hand, I would say, "That's a hand." If you then asked me about that person, I would say, "They have at least one hand."
I don't gather anything off of hands, I just analyze facial structures and a little bit of other stuff.

I know this is 4chan and I know this is just for fun, but I just have to put this out there:

What you're doing is not called personology. Its a debunked science called phrenology and it leads to very dark places.
>>
>>23647848
Well shucks, I was told it was called personology. Phrenology doesn't quite sound like it covers what I'm looking at, though. I'm likely just naive, but I don't understand what you mean by "dark places".
>>
>>23647860
>dark places

it possibly means either too much pseudo or something else
>>
>>23647860
Phrenology was the "science" of determining a person's personality and characteristics by their physical features. It led to some massive forced sterilizations of mentally handicapped people and blacks in the US in the ealy 20th century, and there's an argument to be made that it influenced Hitler's dogma about jews and gays. Just google phrenology, not a single thing you find will be positive

Concise. Very emotional, but has difficulty with this. Generous with stuff, though (I think) you've been cutting back on that. A little bit skeptical about helping people. Independent. Very strong structural thinking. Needs a clean, non-cluttered environment. Enjoys dry wit somewhat. Really friendly sometimes, not as much other times. Able to organize things. Unconventional judgement. Punctual.

I think you have visual memory, and are realistic; not quite sure from this angle

Good at structural thinking. Indifferent about work/living environment being clean ("It's nice, but it's not a big deal"). Good physical energy.

I can't tell if that's a broken nose or not. If it's not, I would say you have a good money sense.
>>

Pretty accurate! Except I don't feel I'm that independent and my physical energy is usually pretty low. Besides that i'm surprised on the accuracy.

Oh and no broken nose and I try to be responsible with money.

Good organization, though a clean environment isn't a big deal. Good at getting info out of people. Somewhat enjoys helping people. Independent. Talkative, soft-spoken. Okay at self-expression. Pretty generous. Somewhat emotional. HIGHLY DRAMATIC!

With this camera angle (and the surprise)...
Realistic, I think? Probably friendly. A little bit adventurous. High physical energy. Somewhat low self-confidence, looks like it's been improved. Asks "how" questions.
