So, /soc/. Just out of curiosity if anything, how many of you here don't want/probably don't want to have kids? It seems nigh on impossible to meet someone these days who wants to do stuff like travelling or going on adventure trips, because so many people want to just settle down and have a family. Is there anyone else like me out there?

It's all about perspective and what you choose to do. My parents had me but we still does a bunch of traveling because they enjoyed it and wanted me to see/experience some cool shit.

and it doesn't matter that u don't like kids. of course kids are dreadful, but u will think yours are awesome, and u don't lose freedom, u just have to organise yourself a little differently
29/f, childfree. Aside from the fact that I am now incapable of having them I have never wanted to. I like kids well enough I just really find them annoying, loud, messy and apparently I am selfish and want to live my life for me not for a child.
My bf is 31 and also cf, he had a vasectomy a few years ago.
His brother is 24 and having his first baby next month, they have no idea what they are getting into and think it's going to be really cute and easy despite my warnings (I was a nanny for a very long time)

I always hated kids (even when I was 9 or 10 I hated toddlers). I just never see myself around them.
Surprisingly, I thought most of my bf/interests would share that view since all guys always talk about how they want to "enjoy" and "not being burdened". Only my last bf is actually agreeing with me on that and he hates kids as much as I do so I think we can have a life made of travelling and being free.
