I hail from the STL area to begin with. Its not as methy until you get into the city, in which case its actually all the drugs, the extremists are still present but in fewer numbers. The surrounding areas are either poor as shit, Florissant/Ferguson, or rich as hell, Chesterfield, St. Peters, etc. With a sprinkle of middle ground that's a blend of rich and poor, like Ofallon or St. Charles. They're boring as hell though. I came from Ofallon. Shit you not our high school newspaper did an "article" once on the "Hot spots of Ofallon" and the local QT gas station was listed as a popular hangout among youth. There was nothing to do ever growing up.

I grew up in a neighborhood completely surrounded by major highways and outer roads lmao. You couldn't even leave it without a car or risking getting hit by a car going 50-60 mph. Shit sucked as an early teen with no ride and nothing to do. I was always jealous of my friends who lived in the poorer neighborhood because they could walk down the street to a DQ or other restaurants and even had access to a little strip mall to shop at.
But also just because they all lived in the same neighborhood. My parents bought our house in a weird time, so everyone in my neighborhood was either much older than me or much younger. I had like 2 friends that actually lived in my neighborhood lol.

That sucks, I live out off of Telegraph and my folks moved back here when most of the subdivision and shit were in development so there was a lot of stuff around, especially after they built the Wal-Mart next to Jefferson's Barracks, still there wasn't a ton of stuff in walking distance
