I started growing my beard because my gf wanted me to. She has a bit of a beard fetish. I skydive, rock climb, do MMA, did 4 years in the USMC infantry (no emotional attachment to the military. Most people in it are retarded anyway), I'm almost done with my bachelor's in physics. I wouldn't say I'm boring or emotional. I like my beard. No one gives me shit and people assume I'm strong and tough from experience. I don't go for the hipster look though. I get complimented on it by strangers all the time, most of the time by women.

Fair enough. I think most people just grow beards because they think they look better with them though. It's a cure for a weak jaw or unappealing lower half of their face. It's also something extra to do with how you look. I'd recommend growing a beard at least once for any guy who can. It's a fun experience. Only hipsters with beards annoy me. Regular beardbros aren't a problem in my book.

Yeah but thats the thing "Beardbros" are the new hipsters, from what ive seen, i used to think a beard was manly and nice, now its been spoiled by hipsters, hipsters has taken over the beardbro. I still think it looks nice on some people, but just that little idea of them thinking they are many and accomplished something by just getting some facial hair annoys me.
