Using the original language characters comes across as a bit pretentious.
I'd also recommend removing the emoticons. In my experience; girls find it relatively unattractive.

Is it just me or is okcupid pretty slim pickings these days?
3-4 years ago there were over 1k girls in my area. Most of them were undateable sure, but that still left over 100 potential cuties to get to know. I met my (ex) girlfriend of the past three years within about a month of using the site, and she was an all around great girl.
Now that I'm newly single and checking out the site again the total number of girls in my area after filtering out all the single mothers is an abysmally low ~120, and half of them are this new breed of neon-dyed hair "radical feminist" types that complain about rape culture on a dating site and I'm honestly not sure what they're looking for with all their impossible and contradictory standards.
There are literally less than 10 girls I would consider even messaging let along possibly meeting up with, and that's assuming I even got a bite out of such a small number in the first place.
What happened? I mean, I know Tinder popped up, but the widespread stigma around that has always been that it's an extremely shallow fuckbuddy app, not a relationship app. Where did all the normal girls looking for actual relationships go?

Well you could always just write "live it" like so many girls there. It's just very boring and unoriginal. I prefer it when there is something you do like job, study or anything you are dedicating your life to.

First, thanks for your feedback. I know what you mean with the negative start but the problem is that I often get random likes and don't know who gives them. That's why I wanted to make that clear at the start. Maybe putting that further down is a little better.
About the part with the media you are soo wrong tough. everyone is influenced by media and whoever denies that, lies. I just love it and that's my personality lol. I'm a nerd and I will always be one. Won't change that.

If you like someone who likes you back, you're given a notification of who it is, even if you don't pay for the site.
It's not about just enjoying media, it's about defining yourself by it. I'm a TV fanatic. I have 10+ TB of the stuff that I'm constantly watching and analysing. However, it doesn't mean that it's the only thing I can think about. I wouldn't spend my whole profile talking about that when there's a specific section made for it.

Lol yeah but I'm not you. It's my personality. Don't get me wrong I like a conversation apart from media stuff too sometimes but I mainly choose my friends based on their media taste because most other stuff interests me close to nothing. Could write some superficial stuff there but why lying and disappointing afterwards. I like to be straight with it.
And the liking each other stuff is true but as I mentioned in the profile I'm not actively using it so that's why I rarely like someone. Will change that in the future if I'm looking actively tough. you are right with that.
