I feel you. Well, I suppose a few drinks will help distract you from thinking about it for a brief minute, which is always good.

You know, there aren't too many moments when dandy perfectly fits into the situation, unfortunately. When those occasions arise, I will be sure to use the word with enthusiasm.

Kraken is pretty good, it's not my favourite rum but maybe 3rd fav, I can see why you like Kraken if you don't really like most rums because it has a bit of an artificial taste to it, like coca-cola/pepsi or something, I don't know how to explain it exactly.

>>23370684
Yeah, I remember what that's like, if your throwing up your alcohol you need to take it easy.
Also how can you drink absinthe? I drank some 80% absinthe at the last house party I was ever invited to, because I was drunk I thought I'd be the only one hardcore enough to take 2 shots of it and I was fine really, just very drunk.
It's the next day that hurt, I felt like I was going to die and was sick for ages, I rarely got sick from getting drunk but that time felt rough, how can you drink that, there's nothing nice about it.

And like to say, I try and avoid getting drunk now I'm a little older, I can't handle hangovers, I like to feel healthy you know, like last night I had 3 beers and that was more than enough for me.

I prefer drinking alone than with other people, how do you guys feel about that? I say this because I always tend to drink more when I'm with other people, I get caught up in being drunk and regret it the next day, on my own at home, I can enjoy the drink and not get too drunk.

Since I work nights, I end up drinking by myself when I get home. I don't mind it at all, really. However, every once in a while, some friends and I hang out and have a little bottle share. It's pretty awesome. We're all (for the most part) responsible and usually take things at a reasonable pace so that no one gets too drunk and the like.

Anyhow, I'm fine either way. That is, unless I do a chug video for a fb group or something. hahaha

>*Ballast Point: Sculpin (IPA), Grapefruit Sculpin (IPA)
Probably my fac IPA at the moment. I take that back, Dorado is my fav

>*Bells: Two Hearted (IPA)
Fantastic for people who don't like the super bitter

>*Dogfish Head: 60 Minute (IPA), 90 Minute (Imperial IPA)
Oh boy, both are pretty dang good

>*Founders: All Day IPA (Session IPA),
Actually not a huge fan of this one. It's okay but I think my dislike comes from it only being around 5% ;)

>*Lagunitas: Lil' Sumpin' Sumpin'
I've had this one but it's been years and I don't remember :/

>*Stone: IPA, Ruination 2.0 (Imperial IPA),
A classic

It's not something I get usually. But, when I'm going to a get-together or some bottle release, I'll get a 15pk since it's like $15 around here. For the price, it's pretty solid. Definitely get some fresh Lil' Sumpin' Sumpin' then. It's good stuff.

How's it taste?

That Pineapple Sculpin (along with some other BP stuff) is coming to Indiana for the first time within the next week or two. Can't wait! However, I don't understand why their 6pks are like $14-16/6pk when they just got bought out for $1 Billion. With all that money, they should be able to lower it to at least $12.

Hop Juice is honestly fantastic. $12.99 for a sizer of 9.7% beer and it tastes great. No lingering bitterness. However, the one negative thing at least for me is after a few minutes between sips you almost get a little plastic-y aftertaste. Maybe its just me idk.

And yeah the All day is fine, I really do think my gripe is with the alc content but it IS an "all day" IPA

Also, am I supposed to drink good alcohol a certain way? If I'm going to go out and buy good stuff, I want to be able to taste it.
>>
>>23375449
in a rocks glass with a few ice cubes perhaps. Or just straight if you like it more that way, you'll have to experiment. I actually have a favorite ultra cheap whiskey for when I'm broke: Evan Williams Green label. It's obviously NOT the best, but it's nutty like Jame-O and honestly pretty smooth. I'm also partial to Bulleit too, but that's like $35 a bottle I think? E.W. is $9

Have you had Tart of Darkness from The Bruery? I believe that's their 'soured' stout. Good stuff.

Can't go wrong with some of the Crooked Stave and GI ones. Some other good ones are select sours from Tilquin, Cantillon, Russian River, Cascade, De Garde (although, I'm personally not the biggest fan), Rare Barrel, Upland, Casey, Drie Fonteinen, etc,
>>
>>23382375
>'soured' stout
I have had that, and I won't lie that I think that's what I meant when I said sour porter, since stout and porter types I usually don't enjoy, so I could easily mix up

I've had Cantillon Iris, part of my brothers xmas gift was us splitting that bottle. Its a good sour if you can like the earthy style of it also. Loved watching the rest of the family try it, the reactions were amazing

The rest of those aren't known to me outside of Russian River, but can't find any of that around here.

What I've learned has come from my brother and he's into the beer trading thing, so most that I can't find here that I've tried, has come from him sharing
