Assholes flock to these type of threads just to pick on people for being lesbians or trans because they either have nothing better to do or just like being vindictive pricks to people and enjoy ruining stuff for others. Its happened countless times and always will. They tried to make a safe space for queer people by making a whole board for it and that went down the shitter so fast, mostly by people who are queer and hate themselves for it, or by people pretending to be queer and making actual queers worried about bullshit that none of them should even worry about.
