Is anyone else's beard super coarse? I've tried pomade, oil, I shampoo and condition it but it doesn't seem to get much softer.
I trim my stache because that shit gets in everything and I don't like chewing on my own hair. My beard is kept pretty short as well.
I'm wondering how I can keep flyaway hairs under control. Because my beard is so coarse they just kinda jut out everywhere and make it look messy, but I don't like my beard so short that it's stubble.
Any suggestions on pomade or wax? Thanks!

Pretty much after every shower. Because it's pretty long by now and soaks up that stuff like crazy.
It's called "bartpracht", bought it from Amazon.
Used to have a sizable beard, but shaved it all off back in November (pic related).

I don't know man, for me it doesn't matter how much time passes. Until I wash it out I feel oily residue come off my fingers wheere I touched my beard.
That's why I've switched to pomade and it's not as bad. It's not natural oils because i don't have oily hair or skin
Hopefully it looks better than I feel like it does.
I also think I'm at the point where I might need to start styling the stache, just not sure exactly how.
My tache has gotten out of control, and my beard is scraggly as fuck, needs a trim

My beard is pretty similar to yours and I feel like mine is super coarse as well, only when I'm fresh out of the shower or after washing it.
Tried oil and generally wash with my shampoo and sometimes use conditioner, but it's not really helping.
Read somewhere coconutoil can be helpful, does anyone have any experiences with that?

Coconut oil might work, but it's a hell of a lot thicker than regular oil unless heated up.

For me I use a oil/balm and shape almost everyday. I don't like straggling hairs..and maintain my check and neck line...
on the flip side my buddies don't do anything and just maintain their cheek and neck lines.

Keep at it. There will be a period where you just want to shave it off again but I found that after 2 months or so it's starting too come together. After that it's just a matter of deciding if you want to keep going or keep it at that length. I'm going to grow it for a full year simply because my body can do this shit and I want to see what it looks like at least once in my life.
