I don't currently have long hair as seen in bottom left but the rest is the longest I ever had my hair, about a year and 3 months maybe, pics taken from November 2012.
I am currently just letting it grow again, do you guys think it's better or worse?
It's ok to be honest because because I'll be doing it anyway.
I will say though that I didn't comb my hair or use shampoo so it looks a bit messy.

Thanks! That's encouraging, I see long hair threads sometimes and it drives me nuts, being jelly of everyone and their long hair! I tried growing last year but ended up cutting too, I am confident I won't this year.
Yeah I used only Dr Bronners and water for a while, when it started getting long a mix of water, apple cider vinegar and biocarbonate soda, always air drying.
I don't recommend that last mix though, my scalp got really dry and itchy and eventually led me to cutting it in frustration.
I was actually trying to grow dreadlocks lol, I think you're meant to have long hair before you stop combing, rather than grow it out while not combing.

I only wash my hair once a week. I used to comb my hair after I showered and it would just be wavy, which I didn't like. So I don't comb anymore and it comes out curly. So yeah, I guess just don't comb it. Both my parents have extremely thick, curly hair as well. So genes help too.

I don't recommend doing that though, it was quite shitty alternative to shampoo but I was going through an experimental phase, I almost used the bio soda as toothpaste but that didn't last long.
But if you are doing no shampoo, then maybe get essential oils, they do work for making your hair smell nice. Lemongrass was my fav.
