I haven't spent much time in Northern California, just a road trip last year along all the typical stops. Big Sur, Santa Cruz, Frisco, the redwoods. I liked Santa Cruz a lot. Wish I could have spent more time there, got to see the boardwalk and all but overall I could see why you would've enjoyed being there. It's killer down here. Pretty central to the deserts, mountains, and beaches so there's plenty to enjoy. Quit for the job I have currently after working there for almost 4 years. Would never want a job in food service again but I'm glad I worked there. It was fun and I learned how to be a little more patient and empathetic. Made me feel like I fit in for once too.
